AM4- PBEM/SG Sign Up Thread

The choice should be secret, you can advantagy pick your civ by what your opponent picks. About the starting pos. show, it doesnt matter, we can show ;). Yes I agree, I have to change the roster order, sorry. The game is voted to play on Diety, am I correct?? About generating the map, yes, I will ask someone else to, it will make everything much easier.

BTW, my email is amirsan_2003@sbcglobal.com.

ok, fine by me.

but what should the team leaders function be? directing and co-ordinating the team, or something more?

Sorry guys I was working WAY too much this weekend. Teams seem fine with me. Diety............ I guess I'm gonna have to live with it. lol

Here is my email address. earp@ev1.net

Why do we need team leaders?

I think we should play only five turns at a time. Each turn will take at least twice as long to play.

Lets see how 10 turns work out and if its too long then we'll change it to 5 turns, Earp ;).

About Team Leaders, maybe they are the ones that vetoes orders and makes the last decisions at the time, but they have to be here most of the time while each player is playing thier turns.

The leader stays as the leader for one whole round untill everyone finishes thier turns. When you are the leader of the team, you make trades and Diplomatically discuss with the opposing team leader. Following me??

When you become team leader, you must post in this thread that you are appointed. ;) Any other thing we should clear??

I'm going to try to find someone right now to make the save. ;)

I am the initial leader for our team. Tsuk played the initial turn for us and we are not entirely satisfied with the moves he made. I think you and kryszcztov are the first two up. You all should probably email or PM each other to set up a time to play.

OK, I opened the save, and I'm afraid that... we have to start it all over again. :( First, this is the game generated by Tsuk, and we told you (and him) we disagree with his first moves, and I tried to post a way to proceed (but he says he can't save the game just at the beginning of your 4000bc turn). So I'm thinking of PMing someone who really knows PBEM games, I'll ask him.
Second, and this is the worst : when I opened the game, it didn't ask me our password, it showed your position (!!!) before I had a chance to hit Enter, and once I was able to move my units, there was this crazy crazy thing : I could not see our map on the minimap, but I could see yours (thus telling me where you are) even though I could no longer see your territory and units (and town) in the main window.

Too many stupid and crazy thing, so I request we start it again. And BTW, I know you picked the Iroquois, so even if we start again, I might know your civ, so maybe we (Team2) should tell you (Team1) ours (unless you decide to "change" (ie. you can say you change but you can keep them though ;) )). I'm now waiting amirsan to wake up and answer.

If Tsuk is lurking here : sorry but there is a bug in this game, so I'll ask someone how to proceed and if you, as a non-player, qualify in generating the game, I'd ask you to generate another one the way I'll tell you.

Stay tuned...

I had that same bug with the ANZAC PBEM I was playing the other day. It is so strange.

An annoying setback, but we will get around it, nonetheless.

They know you're the Russians. If you look at the drop down menu, you see every civ in the game. I know PBEMs (i'm playing in one), and I tried saving at least five times. It didn't work at all. We might want to send this as a bug report to Firaxis/Atari.
Also, since you can see the other civs no matter what, why not have Team 1 generate the game? That would eliminate the problems.

We can all see the civs in the drop down menu, yeah, me stupid... as I'm already engaged in a PBEM game too...

Team1, could you pick a non-expansionnist civ, please ? I think that would solve the bug actually ! :p :D
Seriously, I'm currently waiting for an answer from the guy who organizes the PBEM I'm involved in. But I bet he generates his games himself, and he's player1, so... but just to be sure, I want to wait for his wise words.

Haaaaaaaaa, no we keep the same civ you picked already. No changes. Just make a new game. I knew you couldn't save it on the first turn so do this, Tsuk. When playing the first turn, Post a screenshot while your on thier turn and they will tell you what to do. Then you do it, save the turn and give it to them. It may seem kind of difficult but it has to be done this way, there's no other. ;)
