Harding has my vote. His goals seem good, and the fact he accepts moderate socialists is good.

Moderate socialism was shown to be good, evident in Debs' presidency, so maybe once we win the war (not if), we can work on gaining a friendship between democracy and socialism.

I have nothing to say for or against communism. Communism was the reason why we attacked and defeated Russia and England, only to reconstruct them as democratic. England successfully became a democracy, but democratic Russia collapsed and returned to its communist state.

I feel it works only for some nations, and I don't know if it'd work for America. If we do end up with a communist president, I'll see how it works out and then play my cards.

But if you are ok with the moderate socialists why not just elect Debs ? Consider this, the last time a Democrat was elected the Communists went on a rampage ! The only way we can have stability is by placating the far left and Laborites. Debs has already planned on bringing a peaceful solution to the internal crisis and he is already showing success. If that isn't enough to convince you, consider that his presidency was the best in the whole history of the US ! He took a failed war and turned it around, he has the experience of doing this and he would be the right man to do it this time around.

The other aspect we must consider, one of the reasons why the far left arose in the first place was the construction of internment camps and arbitrary war related measures by the Wilson administration. Harding would only continue this ! High handedness is not going to solve our problems.

I would be ok with voting for Debs if more of his goals would be listed if/when he becomes president. For me, all I can see is the fact is that he was popular before, so he thought he might as well run again.

Edit: After rereading it closer, I now understand what he wants. The only thing I don't like is there is no mention of him stopping the KKK, and I am sort of disappointed in stopping the war. It was quite fun to read.

We have nearly won the war, once the war is finished (which shouldn't take very long) we will return to normalacy and focus on stability.

The whole deal starting right from the way the elections were conducted. Then the assassination attempt, and then the riots in reaction to the assassination attempt. The bigass plot by Gandhi. And then the world war. This last election was really the most tumultous phase that America has seen since slavery was abolished ! Things are almost on the verge of a civil war now :O !

Things have definitely calmed down by a mile now. It appears Debs will succeed in this race. That will bring much more internal peace.
