American Civil War - JPetroski vs Techumseh

Union position destroyed E of Petersburg 4 or so Union soldiers infantry killed. 2 Rebel infantry die.

Have you ever tried out "Ultimate General: Civil War?" Maybe give it a gander while you're thinking about how to upgrade this scenario at some point. We can discuss more in the post mortem but this is a really fun game. It goes for $29.99 on Steam though I'm sure you could catch it on sale at some point.

Well, considering McClellan, his historical electoral opponent, died on the battlefield earlier in the game... :p

It looks quite interesting. One question. Is he playing against an AI or another person? And can you do either?

-Militia killed near Georgetown!

The Civil War game is only vs. the AI, but apparently, there's an older game that only focuses on the Battle of Gettysburg that is two player. I've really enjoyed the Civil War game though - you will get more than $30 worth of fun out of it, although the first battle is extremely challenging if you don't know what you're doing (do yourself a favor and watch someone on YouTube play it).

Are you talking about the "famous" Gettysburg, the turning point or another one ? :)

ha! No, the one made by the same folks who made the other game. Gettysburg is MP btw, Tech.

Just pointing out I haven't forgotten about this - the past couple of days have been insane. Hopefully I can play tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. I need to throw the Yankee invaders back in the sea to spare Bojangles and Chick-fil-A from a fate worse than death: New England taxes.

The new year brings a massive battle around Wilmington as General Stuart leads the Army of the Carolinas in a pincer movement, attacking Union forces from the south and north and destroying three stacks of Union forces NE of the city including multiple generals though at an egregious cost of Confederate life as well (multiple cannon, infantry, cavalry are lost).
In the west, Cherokee Indians fail in an attempt to dislodge some Union cavalry from a riverbank W of Rolla and Jefferson City.

"A Dark Day for the Union", says President.
Entire Union Army of North Carolina killed or captured, including many famous generals.
President appoints Board of Inquiry. "We will find the truth. Or a scapegoat," says Lincoln, "but the war will go on until we reach a glorious marginal victory."

Hey just an FYI there was a unit of yours flashing in New Orleans on this save - are we good to go or do you want to double check and see if anything else didn't move? I can hit ctrl + n and move on if you want.

Some minor mopping up in the Carolinas. Annoyingly, your badly injured infantry destroys one of mine though I get it eventually. You lose two infantry in the area to my one as the Rebels try to plot how to defend enough cities to hold off for the rest of the year.
