980 Up luxuries to 40% and reMM everyone. We're wasting a lot of shields on build turns. That needs to be watched. Wake the fortified workers in Umma and move them back towards home. Can't save the Cav sitting in Babylon territory. What is he doing there? I like most of the builds. Don't change anything. Restarve the Babylon towns. Notice Korea marching a Great Leader past Ta-Tu. Can't do anything about that. Why is Bangalore smoking? I understand the enemy towns but Bang is a big producer. There's pollution near Lahore but we can't do anything about it. There's no point in keeping the Babylon cities so I disband both, bringing the units into Jaipur.
BT we lose 3 cavs to 3 cavs.
Jaipur resistance ends, Bangalore recovers and build rifle. All rifles ordered this turn.
990AD Move troops, rush barracks in Jaipur. Send Elephant to Tiensin to quell the idiot still waving the Chinese flag.
BT Babylon loses 3 cavs attacking.
1000AD We position a lot of units on the mountain in striking distance of the Choke Point city.
Sign MPP with Korea for 15gpt. Hope this isnt weed.
BT Babylon has 3 cav attackers retreat. Korea declares war on them.
1010AD We capture and keep Zariqum for its rail access. We move a SOD including combat setter to choke point.
1020AD We found Ganges on the river at the choke area. Workers move to make a fortress on the other choke tile.
BT Lots of cavs attack, killing 1 rifle and 1 cav in Zariqum but the town holds with a lone cav.
1030AD Reinforcements are moved forward. The way is narrower now and our stack concentrates. We strike the other town, lose 2 cavs and then raze it. The pennisula is cut off, only Tell Wilaya remains but they do have ships on the inner sea to reinforce. Switch Ulaanbataar to Universal Sufferage, no because I think we need it, nor want it but because I can store shields for our FP.
1040AD Tell Wilaya razed losing 2 cavs and retreating a third. Establish a force on the gem mountains and expect to be hit hard.
BT NOTHING!
1050AD Catapult bombards Babylon's gems and destroys the road.
If we get coal, we can trade it to Korea even though theirs is connected and in their territory? It won't last long I think but for now, try to focus on getting another. Fortunately, our borders just expanded to incorporate one. Send workers there.
If Korea completes Universal Sufferage, you need to switch Ulaanbataar.
We still have an MPP with Korea. If you want to play dastardly, sign peace agreement, with a gpt deal for Babylon's 2 techs we're not researching. Then, when Korea is attacked, we declare war and our tech deal is for free. (Our rep is already shot.) To get the cash, drop luxuries to 0%. We don't need any lux% if we're at peace, make the deal and everyone will be happy until we redeclare, at which point, we get our gpt back. Then check if we can trade for another tech from Ottomans since I think they're behind Babylon.
Once you get some settlers built, abandon Zariqum and found a city on the x (near the salt peter) and SW of the rubble (or wherever you feel is not a big flip risk but covers the pennisula from the other AI trying to settle it. Don't forget to starve off the other babylonians and the Chinese too if possible. Once peace is settled. Switch everything over to infrastructure. We have enough rifles to play zone defense and we will always be able to switch from building to military. The key is Ulaanbataar's Forbidden Palace. And the ironworks soon after that, to the west. After those two the rest should build up the market>bank>stock line with courts, factories and temple/cath as appropriate.
I didn't look into the possiblity of a worker factory. We need to get a worker per turn or two factories making 2 workers every other turn. Much of our core is unimproved. Prioritize Ulaanbataar. It's stuck as size 8 happiness wise. I'd rather not waste time building market until the FP (aka super court) is done. As such, mining and railing the grassland will help get the FP faster than irrigating for growth will.
Try to get stacks of 12 slaves or 6 workers, mixing is a pain and ineffiecient. We still need the rail net complete in the north. I decided to get some core cities going first though. We're still vulnerable from a Korean sneak attack, and they have infantry (a lot) but we've come this far. Let's see what we can do!
The save is here
