Amphibian planes?

Have any amphibian plane units been made?

All the planes are listed by their names and I have no idea what an amphibian plane would be called. (probably something like an XQ324-1Z or something*)







*sorry, a pet peeve of mine is when aircraft unit makers call their airplane by it's real name. I guess that's okay for the like two people out there who know the difference between a "MiG-15" and a "YF-23", but for the rest of us can you call them "WW2 fighter jet, USA" or "modern bomber, Israel" so we know how to use them.

Nevermind, I found a couple.

Sorry for the rant; I was just getting tired of looking through almost a hundred airplanes with no easily identifiable naming pattern.

Sorry, but I think it's the other way around. We have hundreds of "WW2 fighter planes" around, and people that are interested in aviation know at least some planes by name.

Anyway, several amphibious planes and flying boats have been made.

What are you looking for in particular?
