Amra's ALH Modpack for v1.61 (using Animated Leaderheads)

@keldath

I took a look at Dale's Combat Mod and it looks interesting but as far as I could tell, he has not updated it for Warlords yet. I'll take a look at it again when it has been updated.

PS: I am updating my modpack for Warlords and I am to the point where I am adding Unique Buildings. In order to save me some time, do you have any suggestions for an Israeli Unique Building?

hey arma,

wow cool, you updating your mod? lovely,

it a one difficult work.... do you have a fast system on adding the additional lines? like <icollateralimunity> and so on.....
?
i did it on my version of the uu's, and it so much time - adding each line over and over,
i work with winmerge,
do you have suggetsions on that? maybe another program?

im now uploading my new version - 5th uniqe unit for 42 civs.

its for sevo,
i now added all the units i wanted, and i have no plans to create a larger version,
so i think when i will merge mine with yours, i will use sevo's civilization, and some of your leaders,
on your basic mod.

i think it will be good, so now ill wait for your warlord update.

so a building for isreal....mmm.... thats a tough one...

here is some suggetions:

the kyria - millitery building - affect some millitery stuff - maybe expireince

the holy temple - some religius attributes

the Azrielly Towers - some cultural aspects

the Tower of david - cultural aspect

hope you use one of those :)

about dale,

well he has a great mod,
though some bugs were detected on his new version.
so we will both wait for his warlord version.

:)

Thanx :) - thought that I have to play without Austria and all the lovely units of the units-folder, because i have no time and nerves to check all that unit making in CIV IV. hope that the mod will work...

take care and go on with your work ;)

@Keldath

Thanks for the building suggestions, I'll see what I can come up with.

Regarding the XML update to Warlords: Yeah, it was a pain in the but for all the new units but I actually have finished the xml part of the update. I used Winmerge to find the differences.

Right now, I am making a list of unique buildings. Here is what I have so far (just started, so it's not too long yet).

These 3 are done already
-------------------------
Babylon - Code of Hammurabi (replaces Courthouse)
Byzantium - Theodosian Walls (replaces Walls)
Scythia - Scythian Stables (replaces Stables)

Not confirmed yet but the best I can come up with so far
-------------------------------------------------------
Aborigines - Corroboree (replaces Theatre)
Abyssinians - Stele (replaces Obelisk)
Austria - Opera House (replaces Colosseum)
Canada - Microwave Network (from Canada Mod, replaces Broadcast Tower)
Dutch - Trading Post (replaces Market, SuperMarket or Harbor?)
Iroquois - Totem Pole (replaces Obelisk)
Maya - Ballcourt (replaces Colosseum) or Step Pyramid (replaces Observatory)
Sumeria - Ziggurat (replaces Observatory)

Aside from your suggestions for Israel, I still need ideas for:
---------------------------------------------------------
Bretagne
Cherokee
Italy
Magyar
Poland
Polynesia
Portugal
Scotland
Sweden
Thailand
Tibet

If anyone else has any ideas for these civs, I certainly would welcome the help. Thanks.

Well, Tibet's UB should be the Gompa, which should replace the monastery. Have no idea what the bonus would be though, maybe +1 happiness.

great mod:goodjob:

1 thing i would like to see is the vehichle and plains to be built by only certain civs eg: spitfire should only be able to br built by england

James:)

Thanks. That's odd that you would mention that. I've been toying around with an idea to add unique air units to each civ. I would try to be as accurate as possible (such as your suggestion for the spitfire) but obviously several of the ancient civs (as well as Hyboria) would get a random air unit.

I think with all the air units that have been created and posted on this forum, there would be enough to go around. It is something I want to explore for a future version, after my initial Warlords version.

I'm not sure about the plane idea, I don't think there will be enough.
That's why it's still an idea. I wouldn't do it unless there were enough to go around.

Either way, it would be for a future update if I did it.

Unique building not wonder I think it would be sorta stupid to build a piza tower in every single one of my cities.

Thanks keldath for the suggestions but as Hadrean pointed out I am looking for more culturally unique buildings but not necessarily Wonders.

Here are a few more that I came up with:

Scotland - Mercat Cross (replaces Market)
Tibet - Gompa (replaces Academy, can't replace a monastery as they are religion specific) Thanks Drtad for the suggestion
Thailand - Ho Trai (replaces Library)
Cherokee - Casino (replaces Bank) or Medicine Man (replaces Hospital)

I'm not sure about the Cherokee ones as a Casino is not really unique to them (I also don't want to insinuate that that is all they are known for) and the Medicine man is (as far as I know) not a legitimate Cherokee term and may even be frowned upon by Native Americans. I do not wish to insult anyone's heritage and I would love to know the Cherokee term for "Medicine man".

Anyway, once I finish my list then I will start adding them and figure out the stats/bonuses for each.

didanawisgi - a medicine man......I googled it...lol
:worship: You are a Google Master. I thought I was pretty good at finding things but that was just driving me nuts. Thanks!

You Sir, are very welcome, I'm happy to help any little bit I can, as I'm really looking forward to the Warlords conversion of your mod

Perhaps a council house to replace a courthouse? For the cherokee tribe. Each village consisted of up to 50 log and mud huts grouped around the town square, called the Council House, where ceremonial and public meetings were held. The council house was seven-sided to represent the seven clans of the Cherokee: Bird, Paint, Deer, Wolf, Blue, Long Hair, and Wild Potato. I found this in the above article.

A unique building for Hungary could be an improved stable, giving production or xp bonus to mounted units, you figure it. Since the leader is Árpád it may be called jurta (yurt), similar to mongolian ger. It was the home of the wandering Hungarian tribes. But this stands only for the period before 1000 AD, so a more general name could be horse breeder.
