Sultanate of Hong Kong
Territory: Mainland Japan, Bangladesh, Somalia/Djibouti, and maybe Vietnam are cores, everything else is a colony.
Society: Like the Moors but in China. Jizya tax wooo.
History: In the middle of the warlord period, which began in 1896 due to a series of assassinations, a singular man with a vision stood out among the countless barbarian conquerors and native dissidents: Emir Al-El-Amein of Djibouti. Where others saw land and wealth, he saw a mission from Allah. He landed his army of Jihadists (many out of Bengal) in Hong Kong, quickly seizing the port from the skeleton British garrison (as their troops were depleted due to Germany). The surrounding areas were subdued while a message to Yunnan was, calling the various warlords to arms. The large Muslim population in the area (which had been significantly less persecuted by the Manchu because they decided to not be dicks) either joined the Jihad immediately or was "convinced" into doing so. The lands in between were forced to capitulate, faced with two fronts. Tibet's Muslims, primarily those in Xinjiang, rose up and marched to Gansu, securing the north for Al-El-Amein, and central China felt the same wrath as Guangxi.
Fearing a unification of his rivals, Al-El-Amein began to slow his rate of conquest down, playing on the rivalries of the various warlords in the east, while in the meantime, conquering Vietnam and the Philippines. By 1900, most of China was under the banner of Hong Kong, and the man that had once been an Emir was now a mighty Sultan. He united with Bengal, grateful for the aid it had supplied, and began expanding in Africa and South America out of greedy European hands. In 1907, Al-El-Amein once again shocked the world by invading the island nation of Japan, which outlasted any other foe the Sultan had ever encountered - three years.
Government: it's a bloody Sultanate
National Value: Order
