Analysis of Romney's defeat

Lol at Democrat triumphalism in this thread/forum.
True, I liked it more when people were trying to give sincere advice to the GOP instead of just patting themselves on the back because they'll be doomed to lose every election ever now.

But I thought that that was the mantra when Bush was in office. Don't tell me that people are *gasp* hypocritical??
What makes you think Americans are normal? Our anthem is set to a British drinking song. While you have a funeral dirge, that is still more dignified.

.....uh, like Benghazi?
That was less of a scandel and more of a State Department foul up coupled with the dangers of serving in a dangerous area.

Come on, that was a big mess that the media refused to give any air time. If such a thing happened under a republican president, it would have been front page news for weeks..
I'm failing to see how it was a 'big mess'. The State Department fouled up in a particularly dangerous area of the world. On the scale of "State Department Foul-Ups" this was pretty minor. It wasn't like we committed genocide or overthrew a democratic government.

Hah lamestream liberal media thing again. It must be hard man. Did you already flee to Australia? How's that working out for you?

The Benghazi "affair" appeared to be mostly a stirred up controversy to me, and Fox News and the Romney campaign were just angry that they couldn't get actual news media to play along.

Is there anything worse than letting our own flesh and blood die, on the basis of practicality?

Letting more people die in a failed rescue.

Always will to pay to send a jet to save Americans dying in Libya, never willing to pay to save the Americans dying here.

Given that CH is Australian, I'd imagine it's working out quite well. :)

All the US nationals sent to Benghazi were fully aware that they were going into a dangerous and unstable country with a rather sketchy public safety record. Is it a tragedy they died, yes. Is it some sort of foreign policy foul up for Obama? Not in the slightest. As horrible as this sounds, it actually helped the Libyan government curb the power of the conservative Muslim militias. A few days after the attack one of the largest Islamist militias, Ansar al-Sharia declared they would no longer be carrying out operations in Libya. This was after they were driven out of Benghazi by angry Libyans.

So then practicality always wins? It seems to be more important than human life these days?

I could have sworn Clinton was white.
Same with, you know, every president before Obama. It wasn't like "minorities" popped out of holes in the ground just because a half-Irish guy was running for president.
While Oruc's phrase was lame... there were no other options in previous presidential elections, just sayin'... not agreeing.

I'm not sure where you are getting that from. It is a tragedy that they died, but they were fully aware of the dangers of their job.

If you have a point please make one. Oruc said that minorities didn't vote in any great number for white people. However, the percentage of minorities voting in presidential elections has remained pretty much constant. I don't remember the election date off hand but IIRC the percentage of minorities voting for Obama over McCain was pretty much the same as the percentage of minorities voting for Kerry or Clinton.

With the full faith and confidence of knowing the US Military would protect them...
It wasn't like, hey guys, we need you to go to Libya, and let us know how things go, if anything goes bad we'll disavow you.

News flash: The US government isn't perfect. More at 11.
