AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

i saw that some times when we play multiplayer games with others, the loading of somebody who want to connect with me, load the game in 1 sec. and other times it takes a few minits, is there a way to make it always fast? or do you have a idea why this happens sometimes?

What I noticed in single player (on WinXp) is that the game loads much faster for the second, third, etc times, than for the first time after starting the PC, so I don't always shut down my PC just hibernate it. It's something about cache I guess.

I'm not sure it's a good thing. It must be something about the cache, problem is that if you're out of sync and it reloads that fast, it will stay out of sync. So I always prefer when it takes some time.

By the way, how many players are there in your MP game? Until some time ago I thought MP wasn't working for more than 2 players but yesterday I've tried connecting 3 players and it worked.

ok thank you, we play right now only 2 in Lan mod, because internet connection is not working to login, but 3 we want to test this weekend :)

Do you use Lan option? Or do you use Direct IP even if you're on the same Lan? Because I can't use Lan option, it doesn't work for me, I can't see other players.

yes i use LAN and it works very good for me, but you need to have the exactly same mod file like the other, even if you have small changes in any xl or text file it will not be possible to see the other one, also you have to close the firewall or to let the game do not a conflict with the firewall.

Yeah, I've done that but for some reason it didn't work. In my case it might be a network problem then. Nice to know it works anyway, thank you.

btw do you have skype or something like that? so we could orgenize a good game with 3 poeple :) and i am sure you are realy expirience on that game :D

or you do not play, only developing?
 
I notice that Shopping District is worse than the Bazaar and Market which it replaces, in terms of total yields. It seems to give a few more gold, but reduces science beakers by more. I think this is because it's taking away raw commerce, and adding only a gold bonus which doesn't compensate for the loss of the commerce. I vehemently loathe ;-) new buildings being worse than old ones, so I consider this a bug.

Only in my National Mint, Treasury, Wall Street city is the Shopping District worth building. Booo!

Perhaps if one is running a high gold rate it wouldn't be so bad.

I have little free time, the more I play, the less I can fix bugs. :)
I'd like to try a MP game with more than 2 players and I was talking about it with RyoHazuki too but I'm not sure I have enough time and playing with me might become boring because of my little free time and possibly frequent interruptions while playing.
 
I honestly think this is OK, and while it might be technically a bug, we could consider it a feature too. Religious Shrines are a world wonder mostly so they can be built once, and not because they are on the same level as other world wonders.
I was confused about this too in-game, the Civ-o-pedia helped me see what's going on some, so i wondered if these Religious Wonders could be made into a set of Wonders themselves rather than piggy-backing on World Wonders? Was it just a easy mod to piggy-back verses creating a whole new set of Wonders?

Ok, BIG new issue for me...

When i load my savegame (i'm at the latest that the Module Updater has me at 978) i get black borders on the full map, mostly seen to left & right (but is also top & bottom), any playing into these black zones is not possible, so not the full map any more, i have to open the Cites and go to a City that i know is in the Black to bring light back to those parts of the world, but that just blacks out other parts of the world map, i'm stuck, any ideas? Did moving to 64-bit not remedy the memory issues, must i do more, or ?

You have mistakenly enabled viewports. BUG options first tab. Switch that off and reload the game. That should help :)
 
i found a bug, there are world projects like evolution theory and there is a info that all citys world wide will have the resulkts of that building, but only the one who produce it have this, so i think it have to be fixed or i am wrong?

for example 10% more money and 10% more sience

Few days ago I started to play again old game from v834, after updating to last version.Everything works flawlessly, except after every reload year is reseted 0000.
Somehow I think it is related to BUG mod, but maybe I am wrong?

I would appreciate if someone could check it out.

Any chance someone will check this bug?

Of course it varies from city to city, but indicative numbers are along the lines of plus 3:gold:, minus 11:science:. The ratio is usually about 1:3 to 1:4 :gold: to :science:, with the science being subtracted. I'm running at about 70% science - which I think has an effect. Perhaps later on when the cities are all huge (they're all around 15 to 25 at the moment) the +15%:gold: will indeed outweigh the lost flat commerce, but that's not the case yet (late industrial).

Perhaps, just as an idea, the Bazaar and Market could be modified to make them more similar to the Shopping District, so the whole building line takes a consistent approach: e.g. this whole building line is purely +X%:gold: rather than adding commerce to start with and then changing to a gold bonus. Is the +1:health: from incest considered important? I usually find that :yuck: isn't that hard to deal with.

Maybe it was already mentioned before, but I found that trading mechanism needs to be improved. I can receive a lot of benefites trading with AI with workers, siege machines and other units, and in the other hand it's almost impossible to trade from AI any tech, because they want in exchange my techs which cost in 3-4 times more (deity difficulty). I'm not sure that this is right.
 
Also AI almost always has a 20-30 units in the cities and this slows it's development. I guess that in such way it fight with revolts, but despite of this revolts happens in AI countries very often. Maybe it should know better how to handle then?

My bad, but i was trying to find a way to stop the automatic unit centering, the "centering" needs to be much closer to the bottom of the screen because it puts the unit way too far off in the distance.

The FoV bug persists, every game load it is 42, and that's not my answer to the universe and everything. =)

Try an easier level and WM won't find trading techs that hard. There's a reason why it's like that (hint: difficulty level).
