AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

The problem I'm having seems to be related to Bug, its not registered properly.

Here's a screen shot of a new game I've just started.

I'll attach both for you.

The 'avoid' growth into unhappy isn't working either, don't know if I'm the only one, if so, I must have a corrupt copy.

I agree, since AND is leaner than C2C this multi-thread section can wait like you said. And it's still under development from Koshling too and we don't know how far he will take it.

Itching to see Vokarya's tech tree added in.

Maybe his work should be added in now and then we go into a test and balance phase? That way I could be more help and it would get Vokarya more involved too. Maybe get more of the regular players involved in testing? IPEX and sgtslick both play AND alot and sgtslick has done some modding for C2C. What do you think?

I've a question related to the food processing plant. When I point at it in the city build options, it says that it'll give me, for example, +31 food, but also SUBTRACT some gold, some beakers, and some culture. Why would that be?

Do you have Bakery in the city that you want to build the Food Processing Plant in? Food Processing Plant replaces Bakery. Bakery has +:commerce: from Apple, Banana, and Lemons that Food Processing Plant does not, and that translates into loss of culture/science/gold.
 
I am regularly having difficulties accessing the AND2 mod. I open Civ Beyond the Sword and go to custum and try to load the mod. As before it usually takes some time for the mod to load. Now however instead of the mod actually loading itself it seems to crash when it is almost there. Sometimes when I try again it works. Does anybody have any clue what is going on here?

You should try starting AND2 directly from a shortcut;
Place a shortcut on your desktop pointing to
"YourHardDrive:\YourCiv4Folder\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn

(quotes included). This should start AND directly, without needing to start BTS and then loading AND.

Hello everyone. I have long playing this great mod. It is a masterpiece. However, after the latest update via SVN, the 650rev, I can not change the language of game. I play without problems in English, but it seems weird not being able to switch to any language. I can change the language without problems in BTS and all other mods I use, but not in this. I've never had this problem..

The mod works perfectly, but does not fix the problem of language nor reinstalling the mod, deleting the cache or deleting the CustomAssets folder.

Any idea? Thanks in advance.:)

could you change the language prior to rev650? All the xml stuff like buildings, techs, units need a translation - not sure if it had one before. If not, then someone would need to translate it all before the other languages would work or be present.
 
Maybe it was an unofficial translation? I dunno... Never knew AND had the option to change languages. =/
If it did I'm not aware of such an option.


On another note, does the AI ever actually remove fallout or sanitize? [rev649 atm. Haven't switched to 650 yet since this game is almost over]
All of the AI except Sitting Bull have Ecology, and Darius/Myself have Gene Manipulation, but despite half of the 'old world' continent being covered in fallout, no one is cleaning it up. I have to send workers in to Darius's land to clean up the smog and fallout crippling his cities since he won't do it himself. Both Darius and Ghengis have fallout all over their lands, sometimes with workers standing in it idle. Idle! They have the techs, but aren't cleaning it up? All the while their cities are starving down quickly because of that fallout.
 
About translation: I remember importing some code related to translations stuff from C2C dll but it shouldn't have been necessary. Different languages are part of BTS afaik; problem is that only a few files are translated in other languages than english and it's always been like that since ROM if I'm not mistaken. Certainly no changes have been made to the mod to remove any language.

About fallout: some months ago I've increased fallout cleaning time but at the time AI wasn't using so many nukes, so I could shorten a bit cleaning time. AI should already be aware of how to clean fallout, but it's something on my list to check because I've also noted that AI isn't cleaning often.

I'm not saying that the mod is not translated, I know, I say that I can not switch to any language. Previously, in previous versions, I could change the mod into my language, which is Spanish, and of course, the mod was almost entirely in English. However, I could see the game menu (Play Now / Jugar Ahora - Multiplayer / Multijugador, etc.) and many Civilopedia entries that had not been changed by the mod in Spanish, as well as some things in game. But now, everything is completely in English and I can not change it. The option to change the language of BTS is totally broken in rev650.

I guess, this is because of imported code from C2C. I can play well in English, but I have several friends who prefer to play with at least a bit in Spanish. Also, I'm working on a translation of this mod to Spanish, which will not be possible because of this bug.

This is not a criticism, I'm just reporting. You doing a great job with the mod. Thanks for your hard work. Today we will start another multiplayer game.;)

In my current game as greece I founded Hellenism and built the statue of Zues. When I was considering State Religion or Free Religion Civic choices I saw " +25% :gold: from Statue of Zues "
However, Statue of Zues does not give you any gold like the other religious buildings exampled in the civic; (a lot give +1 :gold: per city with that religion). This is also true for The Karnak Temple Complex also, which gives +1 :culture: for each city that has Kemetism (as well as +1 :culture: per specialist), so maybe it should give +25% :culture: with the State Religion civic. Statue of Zues should give like +15% :science: perhaps since it gives +1:science: from each city with Hellenism.
 
Updated information: After trying one by one all the revisions, I have located the problem in rev650. In rev649 can be changed without problems the language. When upgrading to rev650, it is not possible to change the language of the game.

Now a question ... What are the changes in version 650? Today we will start a new game in multiplayer, and maybe we use the rev649 to avoid the bug.

Changes in the latest version are important for the stability of the game?

EDIT: Confirmed. A friend installed the latest revision and the same thing happens. In my other pc also happens. Not a thing of my pc.

It is true that the AI ​​does not grow well in the early stages of the game, and as I have seen, most of the time is because it does not build workers. I'm doing some tests, and if you give the AI ​​a worker from the beginning (from Prince difficulty onwards) everything works much better normally.

I'll continue testing, but the AI ​​is no longer stagnates, build more improvements and founds more cities more faster, or so it seems.

I believe I've fixed the language bug, I'm currently testing it and will probably release an update in some minutes/hours (depending if it works in my test or not).
