AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

@Vokarya - You just have to manually edit the file, and ADD in a comment, *That's what I did*.

KDESVN now ignores the file, as it thinks its been locally modified by myself, and won't update it, unless I specifically say to do so.

Mind you, I'm using linux, so what works for you, depends on what operating system you use.

Been thinking about this for a week, only just did it now.

"Post War Baby Boom" event happening without a war of any kind. Edit: Also the extra food this event gives seems kind of weak

The event is supposed to trigger whenever you are not at war with anyone. I wonder if maybe a minor civilization (that you are automatically at war with) getting eliminated can trigger it? The food hasn't changed from the original BTS version of the event. AND citizens eat 3 food/turn instead of 2; maybe we should boost the food bonus to compensate?

"Slave Revolt" event has 3 options two of which are universally worse than the 3rd which (let the local authorities handle it) claims the revolt may continue but it never does.

Option 3 is supposed to cause the event to recur 60% of the time. It's possible to not get the revolt continuing. If you turn off New Random Seed on Reload and can snag a save from just before a slave revolt happens, maybe we can see what is going on.

I'm still getting crashes to desktop, its due to the auto raising of a 1 pop city by the Barbarians. I have 'Barbarians always raise' is NOT checked, but it will still raise a 1 pop city and crash. No city raising is also checked.

@IPEX,
Do you have either Barb World or Barb Civ Options ON?

Are you using the "work around" I posted some time back? It will at least let you continue.

Barbarian city turn civ has wrong name and has a %s in its name http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=131327737 <-hopefully this works for linking a screenshot

2nd Edit: If you are building a village hall or the like and you get enough population for the next level it kills construction of the lesser version. Should give the hammers back in gold or automatically upgrade the in-queue building the the "larger" version.

Thank you CW, added to the buglist :)

Joseph & IPEX did you have Cultural Victory enabled by chance when you were getting CTD?

I think I have Cultural victory on, I don't have Domination, and Religious I think, 4 & 6, just booting game to look.

I don't think I have no city raising on, as I have the option to raise captured cities, but most time I just abandon them for the gold, and Citizen workers.

I don't use Barbarian world option at all, never have. I can reload the game and play through the event, don't know of a work around, and I'm NOT using random seed on reload, so its not that allowing my to play on. No biggie, it just happens once in a while.

I think I have Cultural victory on

Just to make sure, can you check this one, please? Because I've found there is a problem with city razing when Cultural Victory is DISABLED. So if you have Cultural Victory enabled, it should be something else. Thank you. :)

Since I don't use Mastery I generally have Conquest, Scientific, Space Race and/or Religious and/or Cultural. I've been keeping the Victory Conditions down to 3 or 4 per game. So sometimes Cultural is Off. (Culture in AND is better than in C2C but still AND could stand some Culture buffing imo.)

Ok, next revision will be updated with this fix. With a little bit of luck, it might be the fix we were looking for. :) I'll be away for a couple of days and will be back on monday I think, so no revisions until then, although I hope I can read the forum.

Revolutions was going nuts in IPEX's PythonDbg file. It even complained that the barb AI had No Capital. Don't know if it was because Ulm was Razed or not but that was the last entry right before the CTD.

JosEPh

Its always done that, complained barbs have no capital, I just assumed its a glitch, as they can't have a capital. I just had another crash, now its Lyon being raised as 1 pop.

I definitely have Cultural victory on, I only turned off 4 and 6, Domination and religious.

I've taken 1 pop Barb cities, and haven't had an auto raise, when I abandon them, nothing happens either.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, you can't WHIP population away, it says you can in city screen, with the whipping icon, giving a pop cost, but its greyed out, and I was in slavery. No civic seems to have population sacrifice as an option.

still getting the storms event, though this time I have storms turned OFF.

No biggie, but its happened twice, just brings up the error message.

I haven't had that random crash to desktop again, and I've taken a 1 pop Barbarian and a 1 pop Civilization city, had it auto raise, but no crash to desktop.

I have to check but I think gc.getGameINLINE() should be gc.getGame() in the python code. Thank you for reporting this. :)

Had another random crash to desk top, got a couple of python errors then crashed.

I took a size 5 city from Celtia, I choose to sell all the building (Cntl-A) and then abandon the city.

Then it popped up these two errors over each other.

then proceeded to dump me to desktop. With the error message-

Unidentifiable C++ exception??

Game immediately dumped me to desktop, python error file is also attached.

Repeatable crash to desktop everytime I try to end turn. Here is save and minidump, plz help..

Sgtslick, I've tried your savegame and I had no problem playing on for a few turns. Which revision were you using? I've tried loading it in rev620 (I didn't recalc) and it worked fine, so maybe the ctd was solved in rev620. :)

Edit: have you modded the game somehow? While loading the game removed a "roman gladiator" which isn't supposed to be a unit of AND.

Hmm thats odd..

Its using the map I created here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=387119&page=2
which uses zulu's art modpack http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=378141 and some civ flags that I got from c2c.
I also tweaked some stuff slightly like game speed and handicap stuff.
Maybe the crash is to do with zulu's unit art modpack. Its weird that it only crashes on this specific turn though and not earlier.

Perhaps its some unit that has been created for the first time in the game that causes the issue?

Have you tried zulu's unit modpack before? Its awesome!

No, I haven't tried it; it could be either that or the bug could be solved in the last revision (if you're playing with a rev <619). I suppose the first option is the more realistic one.

yeah I tried 620 still crashes, it must one of zulu's specific units hmm.. ill have a look what units are being created and see if any are 'new' to that turn and if so i'll see if disabling it fixes the problem.
