AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

when I open world builder, I see lot of rings in different colors on the map. What they do mean and in what file are the definitions/positions set?
Starting positions, random or preset depending on what you're using, a custom game or a scenario.

concrete it's the earth map, but what files that is stored? in the *.CivBeyondSwordWBSave I can't find it, so I think, it's somewhere outside the map/scenario file, as in .CivBeyondSwordWBSave the starting positions of the civs I find only, but not the additional rings.

So far I understand, the red rings are random events and the other colors are settle positions (after building start city) where the related civ tries to create another city, and lot of these are very stupid for building a new city so I want to uptimize those.

made a big spy operations to an enemy city and dropped the ppl to 2 and all buuildings at last the fire pit. Next turn I let my spy check and all buildings the opponent civ build before are shown as active again.

Looked in wordldbuilder, and right, all buildings are back, just as city status had been before my great spy action.

requirement for afforest is scientific methods (only) in pedia, but my worker can't afforest any.

Scientific Method gives Forest Preserve. This is the same as the BTS improvement, but with increased yields to make it comparable to other improvements available during the Renaissance. It must be built on an existing Forest or Jungle.

Plant Forest is not available until Ecology. This allows you to add Forest to a tile that does not have a Forest.

I wonder if there is a problem with your translation. Are we using the right words?

then it is a problem of the german pedia text.
The name is "Aufforstungsgebiet", and that is afforest, means grow up a forest where no forest had been or forest had cut, should be able on any ground except ice and rocky.
.

Maybe it is same suboptimal translation like the German word for star fort.
But the complete forest thing is hard to understand well and looks for me not logical.

edit
"Forest Preserve" is "Naturschutzgebiet", not "Aufforstungsgebiet". So it is a wrong German translation (and along that a different meaning).
Pedia and tech tree should get corrected in German version.

the complete forest thing should get reconsidered. The lines forest + sawmill or forest + forest preserve give no way to switch between sawmill and forest preserver, what is not according reality.

civ was my vassal, leaved me.
two turns later that civ asked me to become vassal again.
I click on first check options and have also defence alliance as option. I choosed defence alliance, not vassal, but one tick later the civ is my vassal nevertheless.

Building Zoroastrian Shrine Fire Temple causes game go CTD. Save attached.

Edit: Did some test and doesnt seem to be related to that building.
I load that sav (have svn rev 1027) and when do recalculation I got several non-fatal load warnings because civs and leaders, but after recalculation it worked fine w/o CTD and also built the shrine fine.

on farm field I got random event: found resource of cattle, but workers can't build cattle run there now

This is part of the bug that you can't build an improvement that replaces another if both upgrade to the same improvement. I have to test this, but I'm working on some other things and I think this will have to wait for 45*.

is there a calculation that special regions are hit more often than other? Also, I think in general that it happens too often. Is there a way to disable meteorits but let the other random events active? Don't want to disable all random event, but these meteorits are overdressed

ok, just got a sugar field by culture expansion and the former civ made a farm there, could not make a plantage.
looks like general problem. But not so urgent. Keep in mind for later fixing.
Edit: workaround: build some other there, and after that the plantage is possible.

BTW: a general question: is there a way to replace the ugly conus mountain images by the old mountain images of civ 3?

On the bugs, I"ve also gotten 2 'old' bugs.

(1) The Hammer overflow bug x 2, happens when you chop down a forest, and settle a city on the same turn near by. Both times I received over 7 Million hammer overflow, so some factor of 2 power x, converted into gold.

(2) On upgrading the SVN version, I lose all settled great generals by the AI in captured cities.

Situation - I've captured Thebes from Egypt, and fully eliminated them. The launcher updates the SVN version to the latest 1027-9 or something and 4 Settled great generals are now removed.

Since I lost 4 Great generals, the gold overflow was compensation in my mind, but bug no the less.

I can produce saves to replicate both of these, or pre updating for Great generals.
