Ank06 - 3CC Conquest

Looking good bugsy!

The Zulu look to be severely crippled. Have you considered burning just one or two more cities and leaving them for later? With only jungle and mountains and slow workers, they ain't going anywhere. It might be better to let the Zulu grab the vacated land because they should be weak for the remainder of the game. America might be a good candidate now before they get too strong. You might even catch them in anarchy. I would pillage most unneccessary improvements and leave only a few main roads (full of your troops of course). I would also keep an eye on the civs to your East. They must be kept puny because a two front war at the wrong time would be a real headache.

Just my $.02. Very entertaining read!

Nice job, Bugs :goodjob:

Edit: Don't notice this post, was a mistake...:blush:

Actually, I think bugs still has 5 turns left. He was just stopping to let us know how it was going & ask for feedback.

Funny you post the 24h reminder on my turn.:blush::lol:

Thanks! Just making sure Wiz wasn't still picking on me for my notoriously slow play.:crazyeye:

And I post the 24h reminder every time I post that list of players. Not only for you...

Good luck and hope you get the Americans and Aztecs settling evenly.

If there is a military unit nearby the AI isn't going to bring a worker out to hook up the iron. That's what I meant.

Finishing up now. Will post within the next few hours.

IBT – The Zulus in the mountains continue north. Our GS kills two barb horses.
Lugd: Cat=>GS

6. 230 BC – Kill the Zulu warrior near our iron. Maneuver towards Mpondo.

IBT – Zulus look like they’re going to come down from the mountains.
Kill another barb horse.
Alesia: GS=> Duct (10)

7. 210 BC – More Maneuvering. Abe now has Monotheism.

IBT – Entremont: GS=> GS

8. 190 BC - @ Mpondo: 4/4 GS kills 3/3 Impi (-2hp)
5/5 GS kills 3/3 Impi (redlined) Mpondo razed.

Kill a wandering Zulu warrior.

Isandhle is on a hill, so I will wait until I get at least three units to attack with.

IBT – The Zulu warrior and Archer approach Lugd.

9. 170 BC – Use cat in Ludg to bombard Zulu warrior. Horse retreats.

IBT – Zulu warrior kills our horse.
Mongols demand TM & 23G. Since they out number us and our forces are to the east. We give in and mark Temujin down in our book.

10. 150 BC - @ Isandle – 4/4 GS kills 3/3 Impi (-2hp)
4/4 GS kills 3/3 Impi (redlined)
5/5 GS kills 3/3 Impi (-1 hp)
Isandle razed. Two more slaves captured.

Kill the murderous Zulu Warrior outside Ludg.
After Action Report: You will find a force of two GS heading towards Swazi. The worker suppression horse is at Hlobane and a GS is almost at Tugela. Just park them on a mountain until the main force arrives.
We’ll probably need to heal up after Isandle.

I have some combat workers building roads towards the front.

Good thing Ankka extended the playing time to 50 hours. I took 49 hours and 59 minutes to get my turns played. :lol:

Seems like Gengis is up in both of my SG's... :p

After looking over the turn log and the screen shot. I have a thought for the team.

Perhaps we should continue the Zulu war until Shaka is down to one city... Umtata. He can then ski and play with the Yeti to his heart's delight. It will be a long time before he can rebuild anything. In the meantime we ought to go after the Mongols before they get Keshiks. Those puppies could hurt. When we go for the Mongols, we go for the throat.

The only other UUs out there that can hurt us are Ansars from Arabia. We will probably be fighting with cavs by that time, so we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I think we should try and get Germany and Mongolia off the earth before they grow... they're an easy target now... We could also try some world wars in the west sometime to cripple them, we can then finish off the weakened AI's. :hammer:

What do we have for troops in the east?

With enough swords (4) and a couple of spears (2) we could finish the Mongols pretty quickly.

A little peace parley with Shaka right now to see which villages he'd offer might be in order.

Make good use of those swords, GK!

We presently have one GS in the East. We have two more GS completing in the next four turns. If Gengis holds any units completing in our homeland, we could have a force of 6 GS to march on Mongolia about the time Brother Bede is up.

We could continue with that force southward and polish off the Germans.

Oops, didn't see this one was on me. Got it!

The subscriptions seem to be not operating properly since the forum trouble last week. I've had several of those.

I was thinking it was just me.

I was wondering why you weren't being your normal talkitive self in our SGs, bugs. Now I see that you're in 15 SGs at once.:crazyeye:

Two have ground to a crawl - DI1 and VB2. Go4 is slow. I really only have five going strong right now. :crazyeye:
