Plotinus said:Different kinds - up to you, of course, depending on how you want to implement mutants. I just like the idea of having green-skinned mutants running around on the surface, rat-like mutants popping up out of the sewers, great big ogre-like mutants rampaging in from the wilderness outside, flying harpy-like mutants swooping down on people (stop me if this gets too Judge Dredd). The sky's the limit. You could have different mutant civs or just one very varied mutant civ - depends on how you want to do it, and how much you think the scenario should be "about" mutants or whether they should just be a fairly small element of it. But I think they would be fun!
They were planned to have equal billing with the other 4 factions. I may follow Stormrage's suggestion of surface and underground mutants though.
I have background stories worked out for the other factions so the deciding factor on their inclusion will be based on fitting them into to the overall picture.
I guess the underground mutants will be more low tech (possibly they have a non-human origin, unlike the surface mutants). I imagine they would employ a variety of special units utilising the pyrotechnic properties of sewer gas. The bilge rat (transport) is a definite unit for them. Their foot units could be cheap but have a variety of special features such as ZOC & paradrop to make up for their lack of motor vehicles.
