I'm surprised no-one seems to have mentioned it. Was it not down for everyone? Or is there an announcement on it here that I've been too blind to see?

Either way, what was the reason for yesterday's down time?

It wasn't completely out, more like fading in and out.

It was almost impossible to post, I kept getting server busy messages, then 404 errors and such.

Like AoA said, it was kind of spotty. I could make a post, then go to view another thread, and get server busy or 404 errors. Ten minutes later, I could post again. Repeat ad nauseum.

I got a lot of 'page not found' (which would be a server not found...) Maybe Telefragged is starting to move things around?

It was more like 3 hours for me. I guess the forum became not responsive because of too much load. Telefragged fixed the problem soon after I sent them an email.

Not yet. They will move the forum server on Friday or Saturday.

I think a nice little dual 3GHZ machine with 4 gigs of ram at least and 2 200 GB RAID drives on it would be all right

However, it was ironic. At that time, I was at the library, using a dsl connection. Yet the forums, if I could even get in, were moving as fast as my own 28K connection at home...
