I'm willing to play marathon as well.

And Conquistador knows that he is the Brazilian Arabs if he makes the switch?
 
No problem..............I usualy play random civs anyways. He`s played the Arabs several times. I know what its like. I`m playing the Celts like in 5 games,(random and subed in ). Anyways I have no problem with the switch.

I ddin't specify before, but random is fine for me.

If the choice to play Marathon is made I think I'll quietly bow out. I'm not keen on spending a month waitin for my first settler, though I greatly respect the desire! :)

Actually marathon has *more* action after a while of waiting for the start as the military aspect is on more of an even keel with tech research as a strategy.

But I respect your choice on this; do you intend to play?
 
I do intend to play. Unless it's the marathon... I fear teh speed will be way to slow for sanity's sake. I could be wrong. :) ... Ohh... unless we started a Marathon game with an hour long play session via Hamachi or something. :)

Bear in mind this is isn't a settler/warrior start game, your starting with 2 towns, a worker, a few units & all the ancient techs.
 
No prob with marathon speed for me, but it requires patience and it might be too slow for many. It probably means many will stop playing after a while. Epic + no tech trading should give quite long time span for military units, too?
 
Sorry I will not swap I think everyone should play random on all games. I think monte would be better you get more space to expand into.

I would prefer epic personally than marathon. 23 turns to build a quarry is a little too long I think.

I am unsure who to get as when I loaded the earth thing you could only pick ramases.
 
Wasn't thinking along those lines. I'll stay in for Epic, but like G_storrow I'll vote for Epic as well.
 
If anybody wants to trade his financial civ vs. my Mongols I 'd be happy to do so. Otherwise I am fine with Mongols and pick Kublai Khan.

23 turns to build a quarry seems also very long to me. So I would prefer something a bit faster.
 
Wow, you cant imagine how a few hours sleep can make you feel lots better.

The pitboss is up if anyone can try to connect and let me know if they can get in.

There is no password for it and its epic, not marathon.
