I am getting Host timing out, but I will try again later as I don't have much time now.
Same, for both addresses
OK, just altered the firewall and opened another port.
Can you guys try again when you get a chance?
The game's up and begun? Hod did the civs shake out? I said Random but I don't know what player # my "random" was... so I'm a touch lost.
Something still doesn't work and I think this has still to do with your firewall. Pinging your machine works but setting up a connection on port 2056 fails.
Arckon is trying to get the game up for testing, we haven't begun yet. See the first post for who's playing who
Can I have hatty please, if that is possible( see my prev post)
OK, try again guys.
I did a few new things, lets see if they work.
same thing... connection timeout... which port do you use? I think the default is 2056.
Yup - connection still timing out.
I am using 2056, but I also opened up 2033 and others.
I also opened the firewall ports too.
Will keep trying.
Edit: wait up guys, the damned IP provider is not connecting.
OK, try now.
The IP provider is back in connection.
no connection ...
I am truly puzzled at this.
Maybe I am too sick to think clearly right now.
Will get back to you guys alter.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Host still timing.
I wish I could help you but I have never started a PTBS.
Klammi helped me and the p[itboss is up; he connected!
The problem was that the 2056 port is UDP not TCP, doh is me.
So rich and anyone else, go ahead and try it.
All ok here.
IanDC and Junuux got into the pitboss.
So I am leaving it up till Sunday morning.
So far only one player has not specified their leaeder and that would be Spartacus.
Looks like we are in business!
Klammi was saying that the chat is not persistent from game session to game session.
Anyone know what to do to save the game chat?
It seems to be not implemented in the Pitboss Server. Messages are only broadcasted to players who are online. When you go offline the chat-log is cleared. Thats a pitty. Global persisted chatting will only be avaiable on this board.
