Warlord
We can restart every day when we don't figure out the reason for the ever returning civ selection problem

This is bad news.
What is really strange is that you once again are the first who get the "no leader" screen. I don't think this is coincidence.
Perhaps Arckon should restart the server and you should be the first one to login. Set the turn timer to one hour or less if possible and play several turns. Perhaps we can reproduce and maybe find a solution for that really exhausting bug.
Hey, now I know why my score is 20 more than everyone else has. I have Palace in both of my cities!
Meaning 8 extra commerce per turnNice to have them, but probably not quite right

Yes, the blank screen is back for me too.
Maybe we should tackle this by way of elimination. Could we make sure that EVERYONE has this problem. That way, we can probably discount hardware on the players' side as the cause, seeing we all have different PCs and configurations.
To eliminate the host's hardware as a problem, I can only think of someone else test-hosting for a couple of turns. This would be a sclep,so maybe someone can think of a better way.
I do not know if it is significant but, with me, the problem reared it's head, both times, after I had completed the 1st turn and tried to log on again.
Also, maybe the log files can tell us something. Does this happen every time after a certain player has connected? Or after a certain player trieds to connect?...for the 2nd time? Or after a n-th number of players have connected?
Just some thoughts...
try editing out that extra capital that Mali has, maybe that'll solve problems
Yessirreeee, got in fine now. Tks a heap. Arckon.
I've had this error as well and although I am not sure, I suspect it might have to do with the following:
I have 2 versions of Warlords on my PC: one with the 2.08 patch and one without - since some games were already running when the patch came out and the majority of players did not want to risk installing the patch.
So I think I got this error when I tried to connect to a "patched" PTBS running the "un-patched" version of the game. OR. Loading a "patched" PBEM saved-game into an "un-patched" version of the game. (or vice versa).
As said, I had this error before and can't quite remember the details of how I got to it. But I do remember, when getting this error, by reverting to the other version, I did not get the error anymore.
Well, not sure that will help but maybe the patch/version avenue is a possibility to consider.
Exactly into which file is the mod supposed to be installed............?
