One of the main problems for me is the money part. If I have to fight with mom to let me buy a $30 card reader for my camera (the only one I could find around town), I don't want to think about over a hundred for an OS. When I already got a working one.

    Has anyone got it yet?

If so, is it good? Buggy or what?

I've been running it for a couple months. It's good, like Vista.

Been running beta for a while, and got RTM when it was released. I see no point to buy a full version right now, especialyl since I still have a couple of years of MSDN access.

    Out there, somewhere, anywhere...
MSDN should get you a full version of win7 with a key anyway, so it shouldn't matter...

Exactly. I dont want to mess with my windows install right now, so im just sticking with what I have. Once I get an SSD (hoping for some black friday deals) Ill probably grad the full key.

Been on the beta for months, and purchased my copy of 7 Pro (Student email FTW!) on the day it was released.

Probably be buying the upgrade version for $50, unless a cheaper offer comes around.

Picked "When I get my next computer". To be precise i'll go to Windows 7 when i'll upgrade my HDD's and would have/might as well clean install a new OS.

I'll upgrade to a 64 bit Linux distro from my current XP installation. I don't currently plan to get Windows7.

I might get Windows 7 eventually, but right now I'm happy with XP on the laptop and Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) on the tower.

And yes, Server 2008 R2 is basically Windows 7 anyway.

Hopefully the Professional Edition soon for only $39.99 CAD, waiting for Microsoft to verify the scan of my student card. Don't know if it will be 32-bit or 64-bit though. Also waiting for my 64-Bit Home Edition from Toshiba for my laptop.

I've had my laptop with XP since June 2006, and I think I can probably get a couple more years out of it :)

I don't know when I'll need to get another computer, but I will probably get Win7 with it if that day ever comes. I won't go out of my way to find one loaded with XP.
