Are you happy?

Happiness has little to do with what we do at a precise moment.
It's impossible for me think that someone could be happy just by doing an activity, like playing video games.
Thats really just being entertained.

Being happy comes from being satisfied with your life and with who you are. It's more of a continuous state of mind then a timely definate feeling imo.

When I play video games, I get an euphoric rush sometimes. Yee-haw! If I've been playing for a greater while, I might randomly walk around in my cottage and think about the game. A game with a good story is likely to be a good game, in my opinion. But when I play the game, I can't seem to be able to get my thoughts off this: What did the developers think of when they made the game? You can't regain health by picking up hearts. You can't use some damn stone to smash up some not so convincing bad guys. Good gameplay, I guess.

I think I'm happy when I have played a game. What is happiness? Well, that's up to you.

EDIT: This is probably the coolest post I've ever done.

Are all these not temporary means to make us forget ourselves? The contentment we feel during these times is because we have forgotten the reality, we move into a different world, where there are none of the problems which we face in our life. They are escapism (as is this talking and debating on CFC OT).
It is escapism when one's distraction from reality precede unhappiness when in fact happiness is temporary in contrast to unhappiness that is always frequent in our busy life.Unless you live in a cave.

Not sure about your exact point, there, but I disagree with what I've bolded. Unless something terrible happens, or PMS attacks, I'm happy more frequently than unhappy. Unhappiness is temporary. I don't live in a cave.

I think that for people to say that theyre happy most of time, it means that they dont know what happiness is. One of the things that makes happiness so great and special is that its such a stark contrast to the way we usually feel. If its your default state, the word is meaningless.

What i mean is that as long as we are distracted by our senses of the everydayness in the world then we tend to forget our well-being of contentment unless one's reflection mirrors in conjunction of intense joy of feeling contented.Unhappiness is a reflection of one's well-being knowing that distraction is really the reality and contentment is mere abstract illusion.:crazyeye:

No.That is just simple a disposition of knowing and being aware of the feeling of contentment at present while getting rid of reality by way of escape.:crazyeye:

When youre hungry, and you eat a sandwich, do you become happy, or satisfied?
Both,i guess,or whatever choice of word that synonomously means the same in the context of contentment of fufilling the hunger.

I knew you were going to say 'both'. 'Both' is a cop-out. Youre mistakenly equating the absence of discomfort/pain/hunger, with happiness.
