With the revised definitions, I suppose you would call me "pro-religion," but equating religion and theism is just kind of stupid.
Obviously they never paid much attention to the last century where those who were promoted godlessness cause millions of people to be killed due to ideology, even religion has not killed that many people in all the religious wars around.
I am pro Religon as long as that religion is not Islam. I am a Christian.
No you're not, and you're going to hell. Sorry.
Religion is a scourge on society, an ideology that should be long extinct, so I'm against it.
God is dead.
-Nietzsche.
I think you would have a difficult time proving that, even if you use the obviously overinflated estimates of the number of Soviets that Stalin killed in his purges.Obviously they never paid much attention to the last century where those who were promoted godlessness cause millions of people to be killed due to ideology, even religion has not killed that many people in all the religious wars around.
According to both Soviet and Western sources, in the late 1980s the Russian Orthodox Church had over 50 million believers...
The majority of the 5.5 million Roman Catholics in the Soviet Union lived in the Lithuanian, Belarusian, and Latvian republics, with a sprinkling in the Moldavian, Ukrainian, and Russian republics.
By 1950, there were an estimated 2,000,000 Baptists in the Soviet Union, with the largest proportion in Ukraine.[9]
The Nazis weren't real Christians, and the war had to do with power, not religion.
Obviously not, otherwise, he couldn't post.Ajidica is dead.
is that right? The Nazis weren't real Christians, and the war had to do with power, not religion.
Nobody (rather, nobody worth talking to) is arguing that the Nazis were Christians. The argument is that since the language and symbology of Christianity were deployed in support of evil, religion is bad. Or something.@Form- First of all, Jesus was Jewish, therefore the Nazis were in favor of his death, therefore, their worship of him was a contradiction, therefore, they claimed to worship him for propaganda purposes, therefore they didn't really worship him, therefore they weren't genuine Christians.
Somehow, I feel that this is a loaded term since I see it as asking if you are eather support religion or in support in eradicating religion all together.
I am pro Religon as long as that religion is not Islam. I am a Christian.
Yes, and most Nazis were German, too. Therefore, Deutschtum is something to be looked down upon, and it is perfectly acceptable to be anti-German as it is to be anti-Christian.By the way, most Nazis were Christian.. not like that has anything to do with anything else..
