American, not watching it. Has nothing to do with not liking soccer, though. I played for years when I was younger. I'm just so busy lately that CFC OT is my only entertainment outlet...sad, eh?

Sorry buddy, the minute England lose you're going to be stuck with weeks upon weeks of analysis of every England game, documentaries of footballs and a comparison with a certain '66 game.

And for the rest of the WC, the British commentary isn't going to go five minutes without mentioning the English FC :p

*Shudders*

It's not that I dislike the actual sport I just can't take anymore hype:(

Maybe it's time to move to Scotland.:p

We're not much better. Everytime someone mentions the '66 game, we mention the '67 one where we beat England 3-2.

iv watched a bit, but it on pay tv and i dont have it so i have to watch it at my freinds house and 3am is too early to go around there.

I wouldn't have minded so much if I hadn't been so desperate for water after Arch Enemy. It felt like an oven down at the front sometimes:crazyeye:
Yeah it was rather hot that weekend, to say the least!

I just wanted to reiterate something about Football and the World Cup. The faking sucks. I'm watching the Portugal-Netherlands match and I'm sick to my stomach watching grown man pretending to be hurt like madmen to get up as soon as the refs don't buy their bs. I'm surprized that there's no more violent actions done to players outside stadiums. I feel like beating some of them up just so they would have a real reason to be on the ground in pain. I love footy, but this pisses me off real bad.

Totally agree Lorimar, the occasional bit of gamesmanship is part of the game, this summersaulting, twisting apoplexy of extreme pain with barely a light breese touching you needs to be rooted out. For example the English goal keeper feigning a slightly more deep injury than suggested to get the other players some water, is clever and not deeply disturbing. When that Ecuadorian player got hit, I know he was genuinely in pain but from experience people don't feel the agony from the original contact only when they are down, so why was he doing a triple sulco and falling to the ground. Equally when England dived a couple of times to try and get a free kick, it's unncacceptable, get the behind me satan. Play with honour not cynical free kick making tomfoolery.
