What makes the World Cup so special towards Europeans? And Yes, I am not interested in sports BTW.

so special towards the entire world, you mean? Maybe because it's the event which will determine the world champion of the world's most favorite sport, and maybe because it takes place every 4 years only :)

I've been watching every game that I can, given that during the week they are on during work hours in my time zone. I actually took a day off to watch us lose to the Czech republic.:( I'll be getting up early (for a Saturday) tomorrow morning to watch Germany and Sweden play...

Can completely understand the horrors of odd-hours for WC matches after going through Japan-Korea 2002.

What sort of hours are matches on for the US viewers (I know I can look it up, but I'm lazy)

For most of the group phase they were on at 9am, noon, and 3pm. Now they have switched to 10am and 2pm, and I think it stays that way for the next round.

Well I'm in California so the first games of the day start at 7:00... that sucks.

The late games are okay, though, they're at noon :)

Australian, and do not watch, read or listen to anything related to soccer.

I voted non-american as I didn't know if you were reffering to the continents or the country (Canadian here). I have watched a little tiny bit, but the only sports I normaly watch is the Olympics, other than that I don't really care.

I watch a game every now and then.

I'm not really rooting for any team, but I do wish that an underdog team would win for once. Its getting tiresome seeing Brazil, Germany and France pwn everyone.

The soccer thus far in this cup has been quite exciting. Or is it just me?

Well here the last game starts a 3am. Now that sucks. I very much prefered it when they played the games in my timezone. It was good to be able to watch games during the night time rather than wait til late night or very early morning to watch them. So you guys do not really appreciate how hard it is for those of us here, because we normally get it out our timezone.

Nono, a REAL Scotsman would rather be hung, drawn and quartered while crying out FREEDOM!

At least according to the last five minutes of Braveheart that I watched.

What a load of rubbish :p

well from the five minutes i watched apparantly a REAL Scotsman is American

I don't follow footie, so you will have to explain the relevance...

You lost 1-0 which ended your chances of qualifying for the world cup.

An Aussie who watches the World Cup. At least, I have watched every Aussie match, and some others, but its hard when the matches so far have been at 11pm, 2am and 5am.

Pfffffffffffft!!!
That is total baloney.

You English always pretend to support the other Union members...
...But in reality, you all hate us as much as we all hate you! :)

Of course you whoop when you see the jocks, pikes and boyos get crushed!
Just as we cheer when we see you triumphalistic jellied eels get annihilated!

Get over the fall of the British Empire, will you.

:D

Nope your very own Allen Hansen said that The English love us but we hate them, he aught to know he at least has been south of the Border, come to the UK, tell me how much hatred and intolerance you recieve for being Scottish.

Curt you sound positively raccist, ever thought of getting that chip off your shoulder?

British Empire was founded on blood, it's nothing I'm proud of particularly, although it is nice that our language is widespread. I'm crap at learning languages :)

EDIT: Oh and do me favour and kindly stop telling me how raccist I should be, I know I don't hate the Scots you telling me I do because you say so is hardly convincing. I've never hated anyone, the effort alone prohibits such intolerance.

I'm one of those rare breed of Europeans who doesn't really like football. Probably one of about 7 people in England who doesn't care if they get knocked out:lol:

I didn't realise the number was that high!

:p

I saw about two minutes of two separate games, so I voted a little bit. But not really; I don't like watching soccer, playing it is fine, though.

OMG !!! was joking about the GNR thing and the ignore list but now!!!!

I see soccer games in half second increments. Thats how long it takes to continue changing the channels when I see a soccer game is on.
