#%?&! Arrested Development's episode order reduced (again), likely cancelled

House, along with every other successful show on television, can be explained thusly:

Does your show focus on doctors or police officers? If so, then you will succeed.

I thought something was up with Arrested Development... its one of those shows that if you don't watch it from episode to episode you'll get lost in whats going on. It looks like they've been jumping a few episode everytime they show it now.

And if you can combine both (CSI, Diagnosis Murder, heck even back to Quincy) so much the better.

I "signed" the online petition to keep it on air at http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/arresteddev which probably will be of no consequence, but might as well. I rather fail to see how it is in anyway repetitive. There are certainly long running jokes, which have been developed from the very beginning, and are just an aspect of the show's character. The plot definitely develops, and it is one of the few shows that actually moves somewhere with the plot, while maintaining a high degree of continuity which is sorely lacking in most shows. For this reason, it is necessary to watch from episode to episode or else there will be a lost feeling. So I definitely do not understand how one could feel the show is repetitive. Anyway, I am hoping that by some miracle that the show does stay on the air, because to leave this show unfinished when it is one of the only creative shows out there would be a terrible shame.

Bah, fox are being cowards. Seinfeld didn't really gain an audience until the fourth season, it would probably have been cancelled before that if it were on fox.

Arrested development is a great show that unfortunately struggled with ratings over here as well.. However, anybody who actually watched it (well, most anyway) really liked it.

One of the problems with the show (IMO) is that you have to follow it from the start. The first episode I watched was late in season one, and I just found it weird then. But after watching most episodes from the start on DVD I really love it!
