This is a new proposed amendment to the Constitution please think about it.

Article N of the Constitution of Fanatica The Monarch shale be the supreme controller of the Government. The Monarch has the right to issue decrees setting all sliders rates. The Monarch can decree changes to the Constitution, laws and standards which can only be repelled by 2/3rds vote of the Senate. The Monarch can pardon any citizen of any crime. The Monarch alone is responsible for all declarations of war, all treaties of peace, all other treaties and all trade deals. The first monarch shale be elected by the senate, every monarch after this shale be the heirs and appointed successors of the previous monarch. Not just fear and conscious but god himself demands obedience the Monarch.

Interesting idea but it would violate the democratic principles that democracy games are founded on. I wouldn't really be opposed to a titular monarch though, somebody who has very few powers but is the honorary head of state (with the President/Prime Minister having all the real power).

Yeah i thought that to, but officaly they should be all powerful, then make it constitutional. so they have power but they dont use it

I think this is an interesting idea, but I'm fully against making them "all-powerful."

I'm thinking more of, something where we elect the first monarch, and then they hand the power to someone else the next term (no election) the only thing they would really do is name the leaders of the new term. This game needs some more "fun" concepts in it.

i think the monarch could oversee small things that dont actually change the game, like:
flag, banner, motto etc...
city/great leader names
and some other things

then the monarch would choose an heir each term

Sounds like you want to change the game from Game of Democracy to Game of Single Player.

This amendment has no place within this game, not to mention that it would contradict existing articles of the constitution.

Even though I am but a puny citizen conversing with the beings of higher power, my academic instinct tells me a drastic change in government will not only cause a bit of anarchy, but there would be a mass revolt/uprising because of the drastic change of "being free" to "being ruled".

Just my opinion.

Well yea, giving power to one man is a bit too much. And if we will limit his powers with senate it will be the same President but with a different name. But we can dream, cant we?

I really didnt think anyone would want the game of democracy turned into a game of Autocracy. But a constitutional monarchy would be fun, when in the real world constitutional monarchys are just as democratic as republics. I think that it would be fun if a monarch was selected (RNG of who want the job) they would have a post in the goverment where people could go to ask them questions and seek guiadence. as far a power goes they wouldnt have any, but the would put there seal on all laws, treatys and declartions of war. And people would call the navy the Royal fanatican navy and like that with everything. the congress would be paraliament and the Presidnet would be prime minister. If the roleplaying game came back it would be even more fun.

maybe not this demogame but the next and we could pick a civ that is a monarchy like England or Netherlands. it could be so fun. think about it.

Yea the problem that everyone would want to be a king, as they already want to be presidents.
