It has good action sequences and Tom Cruise-style FSB agents save the world with high-tech spy stuff, silenced pistols and whirling kicks, or combinations thereof. It's good weekend afternoon watching.

So, next Eurovision song contest will be without Russian participation.

Julia Samoilova, was barred from Ukraine along with 140 other Russian artists. The reason for denying entry was the fact that she visited (and performed in) Crimea, which is considered illegal according to Ukrainian government.

Julia, a 28 years old wheelchair-ridden singer was earlier selected to represent the country with the song "Flame is burning".
 
She's horrible, so maybe it's for the best.

EDIT: Actually I remembered this being Eurovision and everyone is horrible.

As much as I can predict Russia's actions in situations like that, she will go to the contest next year anyway :)

Actually, the story is not over yet - contest organizers allegedly offered her to participate through live stream. Sounds interesting.

The Russians should just nationalise Natalia Oreiro, which would a) keep her music away from me and b) give them a new thing to show.

They've been showing Muñeca Brava in Russia in 199-something.
I even watched opening sequence a few times!

Well, she hails from these parts. But every Russian that comes here appears to know about the woman and her music. >_<

Make Eurovision Australian again !

Look Russia just pay the stupid Bribe that Ukraine clearly is signaling that it wants to enter into Eurovision.
Though frankly given the voting system is crazy and confusing, it seems more like whoever wins is random, it makes NO sense to me

I have to say the Best part of Eurovision was the Intro videos for each country. They were like mini Holiday promos showing of each country. Except for Serbia which I assume they went to the horsehockey places possible to discourage tourism. I was like what is going on with Serbia ?

"The First Time" - historical drama film about the first spacewalk.
The movie announced to be released next week. Judging from the cast it should be good.

Ukrainian PM needs to explain what kind of security threat a girl in wheelchair poses to Ukraine.
