At what difficulty level do you play Civ 7?

If you play at several difficulty levels, think about which difficulty level you would choose if you could no longer change it and had to stick with just one until the very end :)

I apologize if such a survey has already been done :(

I've gone up and down so far. Deity is winnable, but combat just becomes a drag and a clickfest. Sovereign is fun, but no challenge. Immortal isn't exactly a happy medium but it's where I've landed for the moment.

I go up and down between all three though. To be honest, sovereign after a couple of beers might be the best difficulty.

I'm playing on Sovereign again after playing/winning one game on Deity and Immortal each. Civ for me is a feel-good and relax type of strategy game and on this difficulty this aspect shines a bit more than on the higher difficulties.

It really depends what mood I'm in, lower difficulties if I just want to experiment, higher if I want a fight. Haven't tried Deity yet but Immortal was fun, although I wasn't in any danger of losing.

I've always been a fan of Immortal, games are pretty chill, can have a lot of fun and still easily win.

Playing around with my new mod, approx two levels above deity. I like laboring over every decision, and I need the AI to be enough of a threat to make that feel meaningful. I was finding that deity starts difficult (though still delightfully possible to chase wonders if playing cultural) but falls off around exploration if you are playing well enough to survive antiquity.

The most annoying part of higher difficulties is that the Antiquity legacy path is all but impossible... They unlock the wonder far earlier than you, and by the time you have hope of building one you get the popup telling you you only get crumbs...

Hello Civ 7 Fans - I am in the complete minority here but been playing on Scribe just to get a feel of the game to learn the mechanics. I want to build all the Wonders and maximize all the NW's with Isabella etc. to see best ways to improve my strategy on higher levels. Got about 200 hours for the game including the February 6th early release with Founders. Love it so far. Can't wait for all the updates and patches and DLC's.

I currently play on Viceroy just because it is the difficulty I can consistently do very well at. I will be moving up to sovereign soon as Viceroy is getting a little too easy for me to get away with subpar gameplay decisions.

I've started the most games at Immortal. For a while I only played Deity, but in experimenting with Mods and sometimes new Civs/Leaders I drop to Sovereign just to reduce distractions that take my focus from what I want it to be.

Coming from Civ 4, I'm finding Deity quite doable. Definitely would not go lower unless the AI improves
