And I'm still missing a civ which does better in the desert than the average civ. The nubian pyramid alone doesn't really make Nubia a desert civ. (And I'd like to have the sandstorm map back with this civ please).
I've suggested making Mali being able to build mines on flat desert tiles that produce gold as well as production. That being said I've done great with Australia in the desert once I get the outback stations up.

I'm not sure about Georgia (the more "Out There" solution for "female leader with bonus to Golden Ages" is Isabella of Spain), but Inca are looking incredibly likely now. Especially now that the Maya are not in.

I would be pretty surprised to see Georgia make the game. They'd make a neat addition but they're not screaming to be added, and geographically they're crowded out by Scythia and (to a lesser extent) Persia, Sumeria, and Turkey if they get added. We would also be adding another Medieval-era leader, and they've said they're gunning for not just geographic but chronological diversity as well.
So I think Georgia would be a compelling addition, but not compelling enough to add them when they've already featured so many similar civs/leaders in terms of both region and era.
My reworked guesses for the rest of the Civs and the alt leaders.
Confirmed:
1. Korea
2. Netherlands
3. Mongolia
Unconfirmed:
4. Celts/or another European Civ (ex: Italy, Hungary, Portugal)-I doubt the Netherlands will be the only European Civ in R&F. I'm expecting two more, perhaps even three more European Civs. 5. One African Civ (Ethiopia, Mali, Zulu, Morocco, Ashanti/Benin) or a European Civ (ex:Italy, Hungary, Portugal)-there's a good chance Africa won't get a another Civ in this expansion. And I wouldn't be surprised. But I'm hoping one African Civ makes it, whether new to the series or a returning one. 6. One Civ from the Americas (Inca, Iroquois/Sioux/other North Amerindian people)-It's possible that we'll get two Civs from the Americas, but I'm feeling pessimistic about this. 7. Ottomans-Antioch being a new CS makes me think Byzantines is less likely, so the Ottomans can be Civ from that region. Maybe Phoenicia has a chance of being the ME civ. 8. Georgia/ or a European Civ (ex:Italy, Hungary, Portugal) /or Canada-those Georgian soldiers in the trailer can be a red herring, but Tamar is too great a female leader choice to ignore. No real hint to Canada other than Chateau de Frontenac appearing on the R&F poster and Toronto not appearing in FL videos/livestreams so far. If neither Georgia nor Canada appear in the expansion, their spot will be taken by another European Civ.
Alt Leader: I'm betting on a European Civ or even America getting the alt leader. I don't think a second Indian leader is happening.
Conclusion: I'm expecting 2-3 more European Civs, with the non-European Civs being Ottomans, one from the Americas, and possibly an African Civ.

They've said they're pushing for more regional diversity in this expansion, so I would be very surprised if we don't get any African civs this go-around.

We got two in the vanilla game (Egypt and Kongo), and then they went out of their way to promote that they were adding one in a DLC (Nubia). I think the reason for promoting Nubia as "the African DLC" is so that Africa wouldn't appear neglected when they get skipped over in R&F.
"Why didn't Africa get a civ in R&F?"
"Because they just got one in the last round of DLC."
So, i'm skeptical of Africa getting another civ. North and South America have greater need (being only rep'd by 1 modern civ apiece), Asia and the Mideast will get theirs, and Europe will receive their usual inordinately larger share. Leaving no spots left for Africa.
And the more I think about it, the more I get the feeling they’ll surprise us with one that we haven’t been talking about.
Should be: Ottomans, Incans, North American NA civ, European civ, and one other.
I’m almost thinking what if they did something like the visigoths. Works great with dark age mechanic and I noticed a nice little blank spot in the “mapping the civs” map. I know we have a lot of militaristic civs and I was not a fan of the huns but I think it could be an interesting civ if done right

Amalasuntha of the Ostrogoths would be an interesting choice in that regard. She clung to the fading Roman culture in the West and was aligned with the Byzantines.
I am Georgian from Georgia.
I can confirm that the soldiers fighting against an invasion looked somewhat like Georgian Khevsur warriors. (They looked more like circus rejects to me but hey)
Khevsurs are native to the Caucasus mountains, they are renowned fighters in the mountains.
My friend suggested that the invading force looked more like Timurids rather than Mongols.
Similarities are uncanny. Small round shield, mountains in the background, typical Georgian fortress and Georgia did get attacked by Mongols/Timurids.
Tamar would make a great leader. In Georgia, every kid knows that she is associated with the Georgian golden age. She had many great works dedicated to her, such as our national epic poem.

Um, Sumeria is no where near the Caucasus, Turkey will never get added, and the Scythians weren't particularly close either. Yes, they'd be close to Persia, but then again, the Ottomans and Byzantium share a capital. Also, we currently have exactly one Medieval ruler from the Near East/Central Asia: Saladin.
Before Civ6 was released, a poster was spotted in the background of one of the promotional videos that had every leader on it. It was small and blurry, but most of the leaders were identified. However, there was a spot (later found to be Gorgo) that many people proposed was Tamar of Georgia. I really hope they add her, as I've wanted either Georgia or Armenia since Brave New World, and if a meme leads to her inclusion, I won't complain.
During the original release, a blurry picture of the leaders for the game was sen in the background.
This started a made google rush to find out who the leaders were, and at multiple points different people stated different leaders would be Tamar of Georgia, and the meme spread from there

I'm greatly afeared you are correct.... but it's appalling. Oh, two whole civs from Africa, and another led by a European leader, that's plenty! But European civs never have to justify their existence, no matter how petty their overall contribution to world history relative to major players in other parts of the world... Africa and the Americas in particular.
Fingers crossed this won't play out this time 'round. I'm trying very hard not to be bitter before just cause.
Last year we spotted a poster with leader portraits in the background of a video. It was all fuzzy, but we managed to deduce most of them. One we couldn't get was between Germany and Greece. It turned out to be Gorgo, but due to an error on Wikipedia, many people began suggesting that portrait was Tamar, despite Georgia not coming between Germany and Greece alphabetically. It took off from there. Anything that can't be identified is Tamar of Georgia.
