This movie is excellent! A griiping (and beautifully acted) tale of what happens when people are put on an island and all logical reason not to kill one another ceases to exist. ....But that's not what this thread is about. It's about the sequel. Does anyone know when BR2 will out in the UK? Is it already? Been in Australia for a bit, so I might've missed it. Does anyone know any (English) sites for it? Thanks. :)
That said, I'm sure it won't be as good as the original, but I'd still love to see it.

Wow is there a second one coming!? The first was interesting. I think we need that kind of school system here as well...

Battle Royal rules! Me and my friends are all fans (well my more educated friends..... )

As for the sequel, i have seen an advert for it in Kerrang (yeh the music magazine, about 2 weeks/issues ago) but that was the first time I heard of it.

Battle Royale was great. It's actually a very political movie depicting what people would do in dire situation. Some people simply try to avoid conflict, others use diplomacy, and yet others try to dominate everyone else. It's a representation of the countries around the world, and the two survivors are supposed to be Japan.

Edit: Oh yea, the second one. I haven't heard of it, but I hope it's as good as the first. I'll definitely see it.

Don't expect too much, it was a total letdown. For me at least. And I'm not alone with that opinion. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338763/
I was more or less certain it would be nowhere near as good as BR, I wanted to see it out of simple completeness more than anything. :)

They are? I never liked the two main characters. The girl was loved by all for no apparent reason, and the boy...well, I think they just went too far to prove how nice he was. This is an incredibly interesting interpretation of the film. Who was the guy that had been in the other BR? The one whose "father was a doctor"? What about the running girl?

BR is awesome. I watched both of them (off the internet, though). The first is definitely better, though. I'm pretty sure there'll be a third BR because it ends sort of weird.

Edit:BTW, IMDB says it's out in the UK already.

it was mearly a more violent version of "Lord of the flies"
Didnt impress me at all

Not helped by the fact the main "villan" is the same guy that plays a part in salior moon bishi. God everytime i see him I see hes stupid salior moon costume and bad acting.
