Super Friends and Bugs Bunny/Road Runner hour, for sure.
Topcat?
Battle of the Planets?
Star Blazers?
Catch that Pigeon?
*sob* I just googled Catch that Pigeon (and related ones, Wacky Racers and the Perils of Penelope Pitstop) and found out that they were from 1969 or thereabouts. I'm presuming I caught them in reruns...
Oh, I remember that one. I've only seen a bit of it, and only because there was a video at the video-rent store. I loved it, and was so sad I wouldn't know how it'd end.
Anyway: Ninja Turtles were very popular, but I think they only appeared in Poland after 1989.
Once upon a time... Life (Il était une fois... la vie)
I loved it.
Smurfs, The Pink Panther,
Definitely He-man too. I still remember which day of a week it used to run.
Krecik, but krecik's career started long before the 80s.
and another czech hit, "Sąsiedzi" (The Neighbours).
Also, all the polish stuff, like Reksio, Mis Colargol, Mis Uszatek
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles although I didn't watch it in the 80's. If wikipedia is to be believed it first aired in Germany in 1990.
What I did watch in the 80's was He-Man. It was incredibly gay and didn't age well but I liked the show when I was a child.
Yeah I'd have to agree. I was the quintessential 80's child that loved watching American cartoons in Singapore and Thundercats was pretty low in the ladder of 80's cartoons I'd want to watch.
I think most of those I remember are pre 80's. I was going to suggest Dangermouse but I think that was 70s. I did laugh at the mention of Chorton & the Wheelies!
American boy born in the 70's might say: Transformers, Superfriends, GI Joe, Dungeons & Dragons
American boy born in the 80's might say: TMNTurtles, GI Joe, Heathcliff/Inspector Gadget/the Nickelodeon toons
American girl born in the 70's/80's might say: Smurfs, Snorks, Wuzzles, Jem, Scooby Doo
Only today am I finally learning what a European boy or girl might say - very interesting too.
