Best Beer?

Piswasser Bear, "brewed from the finest rice, barley, hops, and fresh urine from Bavarian virgins."

And yes, that really was from Rockstar, and did contain beer in it.

Did it taste like Pißwasser?

Guinness, or Duvel if we're talking beer beer. Honourable mention also to Mahou cinco estrellas.

I've recently been "experimenting" with ales, but I need someone who knows more about them to point me in the right direction its a bit hit or miss at the moment.

Have you tried Old Speckled Hen?

Thread over.

U.K.: Newcastle,

Mexico: Modelo Negro

U.S.: Wild Blue

Rest of Europe: Heineken

This is on a taste to cost ratio. There are better beers, but I am not going to spend more than 9 bucks for a 6 pack of 12 ounce beers. It's just not happening. Unless they are like 10% alcohol or something. Wild Blue is pretty good at 8.5% taste as good as anything and on a cost - taste - get you drunk ratio it's great :)

I generally prefer lager, Grolsch being my favourite, although a nice Beerlao would certainly go down well! (If anyone knows where to get it in the Netherlands, let me know.)

I adore Fursty Ferret

I'm also rather fond of Belhaven 80, Newcastle Brown Ale and Firestoker. I've been a bit fond of Grolsch recently, but I think it's wearing off now.

Over $3 a bottle at the liquor store, here in Canada, but well worth it.

This is not a "drinking to get drunk" beer, but more of a "I'm going to enjoy this !$^&$!" type of beer.

Very good. Aged in oak that's used to age whiskey. Warpus highly recommends.

Beer aged in oak... That might just be crazy enough to work!

For the generic brand I prefer Guinness stout. The best beers I drank was from a brwery called Duckstein in Australia, my fondness may be coloured by nostalgia, it was the first time I realised that beer can taste nice. I also like Paulanar and Hoegaarden
