Beta Testers Needed!

OKAY...

Though I may not have the ability to catch deeper bugs...

I still like to ALWAYS have newest stuff.

Just need to know if there should be a format to how bugs are reported.

The production of settler need more than 250000 hammers...

On a 104×80 map with snail speed

In the XML, the <icost> been set to 0, any one tell me what the original

number is ?

Forget about that, I set <icost> to 150, but got the same 250k settler....
 
Yeah, I like to test it, too. Sadly, you're the only one who made his modmods compatible with 2.8beta, I really miss the other modmods - could you please make "A new Dawn 2.8"?

Okay, so this is a bug. I'll have to test it out of my game and see if I have it there too.

I just tested in my game, and settlers costed the normal amount. Is this bug specific to map sizes? Do you have any other modmod's from another person installed?

Yeah. I've actually got a 2.8 version on my computer, but I never got around to updating it because I keep updating my modmods. Most of the other modmod's are still compatible with 2.8.

No other Modmods, pure 2.8beta

Here it is.

I use smartmap to generate 104×80 map.

Well, have to go sleep now...

When you wake up; what settings, exactly, did you use to generate the map. I loaded your save, and saw the bug, but then, when I generated my own 104x80 smartmap, I didn't have that bug.

I still can't replicate it. Maybe an old value from the bugged version 1.35 had a cache laying around that got loaded. I saved the game as a World Builder save, and reloaded it in the world builder and the problem vanished.

But I already delete the cache(in the Documents and settings dir) directory totally yesterday, and now if I delete it again and start a new map, still same problem...

Any place else could be the cache?:confused:

Anyway, its not big deal.

You should not worry about this anymore if there is no other guy meeting that.:D

I'll try a fresh install.

Your as confused as I am. After a reinstall, you still have that problem, I'll get some help. If it's gone, well then that's that.
 
After a totally reinstall, problem solved.

Okay, glad to hear it.

Since there appears to be no real bugs in this version, I'll be updating to a beta2 soonish, and want you all to test that out too. It will have some more fun stuff in it, detailed when I put it up for dl.
 
New Beta. Please test it, as it has a LOT of DLL changes from Better Ai and I have no idea what I may have messed up in the process.
 
Afforess, just wondering since the new BBAI has the speed improvements without the CAR mod. Would there be a conflict if you merged the new BBAI with the CAR mod.

P.S. Can't you wait for glider to release the next REVdcm version instead going though all that work?;)
