I also setup clear rules covering the double move exploit and a prohibition against war for 20 turns. In your game we would not be down a player now with that rule. What are you going to do the first time somebody complains about being a victim of the double move?
You must have a local ISP to post here. I would wager that ISP could provide you with a free e-mail account that could be used for the notifications.
As to Zenn, he probably didn't bother playing his turn as he saw the situation as hopeless. Again, this should not happen. It makes no sense for a player to die just because another player made a lucky guess in which way to send his warrior.
Hamachi is necessary to play in this game only because you made it so. I have no experience with Hamachi and can see no benefit to it for this game. It runs the same as all of my other games. Maybe if you were running this through GameSpy Hamachi would be beneficial.
Saying that you set up CivStats without giving the url is not particularily player-friendly. The password was another fumble.
A good host tries to make it easy for the players to minimize frustrations.
You apparently see me as whining; I'm only offering you the benefit of my experience.
Civstats has been fixed. I have apologised and may I say if one of the players clamourig for it had offered some guidance then there would not have been a problem.
I don't have a Local ISP that I use, My hotmail is what I am linked to here as well. I made numerous enquiries as to how to host behind a ADSL router but seemingly it's just not do-able. Hamachi lets you see the server, that is its purpose and so far its doing well.
The rules of this game were set as quite basic to play with the new 10 civs. The map was fractal so it's NOT going to be even. I would usually prefer Inland sea. But ces't la vie
Ok lets get back to Civ.
