That doesn't really change the situation. You could ally with Orissa, certainly Vijaynagar has done it in the past. But fundamentally the fluid state of loyalties and relationships is unaffected. There's no real sense of Hindu unity. Or Muslim unity for that matter.

Though its worth noting that Vijaynagar was destroyed by a coalition of Bijapur, Golkonda, and Ahmednagar an alliance that formed after Rama Raya conquered either Bidar or Berar (I always get confused between the two) alarming the various Sultanate's and angering Bijapur one of the more powerful Sultanates in the area and getting them to form a colition that ultimately triumphed in the Battle of Talikota after Muslim elements of the Vijaynagar army defected.

You've just conquered Golkonda one of the larger and wealthier Sultanate's. Make of that what you will, but personally if I was the Sultan of Bijapur or Ahmednagar I would be preparing for war.

Getting India to go on a plausible route is more to his advantage (and perhaps Birdjaguar's) than Charles's. He is framing it in an effective manner, though.

Yes, France was not included in the update because I did not have a good handle on the intricacies of French politics and I was impatient to get the update posted. So France's actions will be described either through forthcoming announcements or in Update 4.

I'd love to take you up on your offer. However, I can't even start writing orders until qoou responds to my peace proposal.
 
Please remember to include the most recent stats for your nation at the top of your orders. It makes updating things much much easier. Thanks.
 
If you have time Beej, could you pelase edit some of your opening posts to include links to updates/maps etc?

Also, perhaps is just me, but it is really jarring not to have a nice introductory opening post, be it just straight into the stats...
 
It has come to my attention that there is potential conflict over colonisation rights. The Japanese and Ryukyu are at odds over the island of Taiwan. They have attempted to bully my significantly weaker vassal, the Kingdom of Ryukyu, who, in turn has humbly pleaded for my assistance and wisdom, to which I answer with this proclamation:

The entirety of Taiwan and the newly settled lands of Luzon belong under the rule of the Kingdom of Ryukyu. The Japanese are suffering from extensive internal strife and must solve these issues before they should attempt to stretch their wings beyond their own borders. Any attempt by any peoples to conquer the lands rightfully belonging to my vassal will be humbled by the might of the Son of Heaven.

We did not intend for our message to come off as bullying, and had no intentions of forcing Ryuukyuu into any sort of compromise that would be disagreeable to them. We are sorry we have been misinterpreted.
We will abide by this decision, though we do protest it as an unnecessary measure - we would gladly have left the whole island to Ryuukyuu if they had simply asked.
