Skippa said:After I scaled my units down to a more realistic size ( I have since rescaled them up for this reason and because they were difficult to see) I got into a fight in my game. I attacked some warriors and they quickly went running towards a mountain about 2 tiles North. The battle ensued somehow and I was the victor.
I have rescaled my units back to a larger size and the battles have returned to normal.

....simply breathtaking....
and as for those who like it and those who dont, i think it comes down to your tastes in a civ game. if you prefer everything looking as natural and true-to-life and epic feeling as possible, you will love it. if you prefer simplicity and lots of contrast and a bit more of the oldschool 'civ' feel, you might hate it.
Yes, a release is schedule for this weekend.Kushan said:Is the scaling tool going to be rewritten to work with v1.09?
After installation the new textures are used for all games except multiplayer, as Firaxis protected multiplayer from simple changes.Vaiks said:Is it necessary to start a new game or, after the mod, the new textures will kick in on already saved games?

No problem, technically those mods are two totally independent from each other.Bast said:What if I only want to use Blue Marble and not scaling. Is that ok?
The scaling tools needs to be updated for each patch, because it manipulates the XML files and I need to make sure the mod fits to the original XML data. The BlueMarble terrain only affects graphics, so it does not need to be updated with each patch. But in this case I did, because I had to fix an installation bug on machines where Civ4 could not be found via the registry.Bast said:So will Blue Marble be released again for the patch or just the scaling?
