SCIENCE!
The World scientific community expands, thanks in part w/ the state investment on exploration, phisics, and shipbuilding. In Spain the uses of magnetic objects are first used to keep track of location. In England shipbuilding technology has developed new revolutionary designs that allow for tougher waters. Bavaria, austria and the mamlukes are not far behind. In the far east, byzantium begins to develop ways for land expansion that centuries ago were inposible to do.

THE "HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE"
Spain, France and Bavaria have begun to form an allience, all being catholic, have the complete support from the Pope, and proclaims the creation of a grand allience.
In eastern europe a similar allience beings to also take place, this time from orthodox nations

Revival of Hannibalism in North africa.
In North Africa the mamlukes begin to recover from the dark ages, serching for the glory that carthage once was. Their new muslim leader is said to be linked to hannibal himself.

Greek stability betters from 2 to 1.
Greek territorys now need only one division instead of two, giving more freedom to the military.

Investmen increases in Bavaria.
Private investment from venecian investors arrive to the bavarian treasury, 15 PPs.
All these as merchants are exited about the future and possible riches of future exploration.

Story:

Sultan Hasdrubal goals were making slow but steady progress. Research into better naval technology was going well, though not as well as some of the research in European countries. However, this was due to investment into the infrastructure of the Empire itself -- one village had apparently grown into a full-fledged city due to Hasdrubal's generous investments. And perhaps it was best that the Sultan show his subjects that he was willing to focus on them and treat them well.

In the meantime, research continued, as did investment into villages of the Empire.

not really, you still have to send explorers and colonisers. why? because russia remarcably worked similar to spain in her expansion eastwards, sending scouts and explorers to find the best suitable land to build towns, and then sending colonists to settle them.
so you have to do the same thing as if you were sailing to the americas, ofcourse, expanding by land means that your explorers are more likely to return and your colonies more likely to succed at start.

is a bit too early to say, as some players might not take back their nations (such as russia or poland), but there are still some NPC nations open. (papal states are permanent NPC tough)

been there, done that, doing two maps eventually will be imposible, as each change in one has to be replicated, and soon there will expansion all around the world.

i hope everyone understands that those territory lines are the very escence and life of the nes, it might not seem like such now, but w/out them the colonisation phase would fall short of expectations. not to count the stability, city, army factors etc.
