BOTWAWKI Revised Thread

This stuff?

Leader: Scavenger
Faction Trait: Expansionist

@Everyone, if you don't mind, i'll post my first orders in-thread and you can dissect those?

Currently I am thinking of sending several groups of 100 to take control of the bridges over the river.. that is if the bridges have survived.. if not, they will simply scavange and come back. Is 100 enough to establish themselves in a city? How will they get food water.. should i ferry it to them from my base, or get them to gather it from their own surroundings?

Food, water in general.. im in a city, not a vault so i think i have to find everything right? supermaket raiding etc sensible or stupid?

I've got more ideas, ill keep posting them discussing them if people don't mind...

100 people is... enough, if you are lucky.

Division of food and water, well, it helps to have every settlements producing.

However, distributing them works as well, as long as your caravans are well protected.

Well it just seems 700 people and 200 slaves is a lot to have in one group, having several settlements increases the area we can scavenge... so I want to split them up.

Is it significantly more dangerous at day than night?

I could tear up gardens and parks within the city to grow stuff perhaps?

Are all bodies of water likely to be radiated?

Water is generally more radiated than land. You get info from the updates about their status.

It isn't that much. Get it over 1200 or so and then it gets harry.

Not sure. Some of the mutants prefer night.

For the gardens, point them out to EQ. Maybe the Narwals want to use Central Park?

Anyway, always have your groups armed at least 10%, preferably better. For me, I always try to keep it 50%. This turn, I have 100 men scouting parties breaking off into smaller groups, with 200 men scavanging total.

Hey,

Yes use that google map. Your in the city of Philadelphia. There should be all kinds of
places to scavenge & make a base. Beware the ghouls. But as is stated in the update the gangs somehow "herded" them into a force for attacking the Narwals. Read the Laws of the wastelands on the 1st page. Scavenge, scavenge & scavenge.
No required scrap for settlements.

I would worry about the Narwhal response.

The Narwhal Imperial Republic has met with envoys from the Tribals known as the 76ers, and through intense negotiations have come to an agreement as to how to divide the Greater Philly area. The Borders of the City will be reserved for the 76ers to live in as they wish free from the influence of the N.I.R. However, the 76ers will not venture to the East side of the Delaware River.
N.I.R Scavenging parties will be allowed within the Borders of 76er Areas in exchange for Fresh Water from Project Purity.

Aiken Drumn, leader of the 76ers confirms this to be true.

Well, here goes nothing! Orders SENT

EQ, we definitely missed an election. I can't even find the last one (I didn't look too far back, but I looked far enough to know we missed one). Let's take it as won for Nealon based on his effective policy choices, and set the next one for Update 12.

How big is this group of explorers?

Gambling, huh? That'll be fun.

He's not been on-line since the 18th.. :(

I've been busy with RL stuff, update should be done by the weekend though.

Best of luck with that. I hope i've not jinxed it like I usually seem to do with your NES :(

I've jsut gotten back from a weekend Easter/Dr Who Party/vacation at my in-laws. I have dinner tonight in a couple hours, but will endeavor to finish before then.

Great stuff EQ, excited to get involved with this one :)
