[BtS] CivFusion

Hello Ripp, I get a CTD whenever either the turn before ends or the turn itself starts in which I am about to complete construction of the Oracle. I'm pretty sure it's not related to anything else happening in 'the world' as I have delayed construction by adding other projects in front of it ... but when it reaches the Oracle again ... CTD. Do you have any suggestions please?

I am getting a CTD every few turns. At first I thought it was related to Wonders or trying to use the WorldBuilder.... but it seems random. Sometimes its 50 turns, sometimes its 5. Its a shame too, cuz this Mod is impressive and fun... except for the CTDs, which sort of makes it too frustrating to bother with...

btw.... I built the oracle with no problem. I am using the .62 patch and having the CTDs.

Hello and thanks for the great mod!

I started using the mod this week and I never had an issue with CTDs during normal gametime; just the occasional memory allocation errors when reloading from huge maps and an insta CTD when clicking to construct the Via Appia wonder which had the pink icon which I think was mentioned before. Latest mod version on fresh game install.

Just tought I'd mention it... :)

My savegames don't load at all, I get a CTD on every try. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Well, maybe this last patch wasn't as bug free as I thought.

My first thought if you are experiencing CTD's is to go to the Assets/XML/GlobalDefinesAlt.xml file and set any DCM related tag to 0. There have been reports of CTD's using some parts of Dale's Combat Mod.

I have not experienced any CTD's and I have run a fair # of games, so I'm wondering if it's a civ-specific thing. wotan321, what civ were you playing with?

I'm glad you are enjoying the mod and would like to help you resolve these issues.

Cheers,

I played a quick game to test The Oracle CTD...I had no CTD, either with the Oracle, or with anything else...Although I only played until I got the Oracle.

Ah, good to know on the Via Appia.

On other notes:
Check the Inca leaders. There's a whole bunch of leader clones there from different civilizations... or is that intended? :p

Also I noticed while playing that you gave the Confucian Academy "cathedral" building the same hammer cost as the temple.

I know there was something else, but I forgot... :)

I looked at the Inca leader (vanilla Civ4) and didn't see anything wrong. I played about 150 turns in...

I fixed the incorrect Confucian Academy cost for the patch as well.

Mmh, I just restarted my game and the problem is gone. Must be some fluke. The Incas had about 8 available leaders including the barbarian leader. But it's gone now. :p

On another note, is the Unique building for Sumerians really just a courthouse that's 5 hammers cheaper?

What happened to the blue circles when you have a settler out looking for a place to settle?

Hm, well, like the vanilla game it comes earlier with Priesthood, but in my tech tree there is not much difference between Priesthood and Code of Laws. My eventual plan is to move the Courthouse building to the Jurisprudence tech and add some sort of tribal council building or something to Codde of Laws. In the meantime, though, I should adjust the Sumerian Ziggurat stats. I'm thinking something with increased espionage. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I could have sworn I saw these when I was testing last night. I think they go away on higher difficulty levels. Were you playing a higher difficulty level than normal?

on my quick game, I noticed there were no blue circles....I play on Noble.

Funny, I just fired up the mod to test this and it is working fine on my end. I have to say I am unsure of what would be causing this issue.
