Bts "DUNE WARS" {Development Thread}

With the GDI Button I am wondering if any point of having anything else other than the symbol.
 
Ok this is last corp. I think it is ok.

Units I really am not motivated to do everyone of them. Just too much time it would take. And I think you guys can do about as well as me with them. Screenshot. Crop. Shrink. Drop in the button template done with a button. Just takes so long to do all of them.

Anyway if the corporation are really ok with you guys I will put them in the font files tomorrow. I hope their ok I can touch up some things if preferred.

im not sure for now its agood idea to make for each unit an icon - cause the moels might change,
and its adds more weight to the mod, weight that im tring to save,
i was thinking of giving each unit type - a general look - or in other words - each unit will have its category button,

thats what i basically prefer for now

i wanna have new dune specialist along with art and buttons,

something like ecologist instead of scientist and so on...
 
buildings are completely 100% finished. We don't have to do anything building related at all.
All they need now is buttons.

I think I nailed everything for the corporations symbols now. Here are the changes. I left the space guild stuff in as extra if ever wanted. It does not load in the game just buttons there if wanted.

dont feel obligated - its really not crucial for me, tell me your thoughts about it.
 
Phonecian, nice job on the diplotxt. 2 questions:
Why doesn't the baron say what he does on track 6? I feel that would be better.
Why is Leto saying 'Go to Hell'? He really doesn't seem that type.
 
hi all,

here is a mapscript, which replaces all ocean tiles with desert !
besides that its is a copy of the Archipelago script.

just put it into your PublicMaps folder . it is civ4 vanilla compatible ;)

However: I don't know how to create a pure land map, since the program seems to add some random placed lakes here and there after the map script processed. It's the same with rivers. If you disable river placement, there will be always one river at the map, which is crossing around the north pole :sad:

Very small mistake I had gameinfos instead of gameinfo.

I could try maybe. You could help me to do it easier by getting all of the buttons together in one folder for me. I have not looked at them all yet.

He had a temper in the book.
Anyway he only says that when he doesn't want to speak to you, i.e. at war.
He is mostly a friendly A.I.

ive decided to upload you all the latest version,

its almost finished ,
but some things are not yet complete though,

note - that when you play - use only the dune map + archipelago land mass...or else......

i hope vadus can make us more maps like this, cause the mod needs to based on them, unless we get an sdk coder.

I just looked at the download. Ya more map types would be needed. I see a lot of things that will need to be tweaked on buttons anyway. Some of them came out kinda blurry. One thing that helps a lot if you guys do not know is when you save the dds file select "No MIP Maps". That makes a really big difference. But anyway when more is done I can help if needed on them.

In CvMainInterface.py the Era Text Fix I did can be removed and reverted back to original. It was only there because of the Autoplay extra text I had before.

As for other things there are still a lot a little buttons. But big improvements in just a few days. Too much to count now. Anyway I will try lending a hand as much as I can. But do you guys want to go modular with this? I mean modular in what can be done of course.

didnt get the no nip maps,

your write about the era text,
i indeed left it to be a bit lower - cause if its centered - when you have a minus on the gold/solaris,
the are both mixed, so its perfect when its low.
you forgot some python stuff from other mods i added - but its fine now.

as for modular, sure , it should be fun,
i think we should first get to version 1 that will be the basis, and everything we add next - can be modular , how about that?
