[BtS] "Extra"

sorry about that, my mistake, I had skipped that post completely :(

Thanks a lot for the heads up

Extra version 3.17h

- A lot of balance and bug fixes (especially regarding the civics).
- A lot of new diplomacy music (mostly taken from the CivFusion mod).
- Several new buttons and building models (especially for the religious buildings).
- New effect for the Underground Tomb wonder, overlapping partially with Tsentom's Terracotta Army wonder.
- A colosseum now gives +1 happiness when you have access to a Hit Football Event (like the Broadcast Tower does with Hit Movies etc.).
- Because all others traits have already been buffed thanks to the new features, I buffed Imperialistic as well. It now includes the "Stronger Vassal" feature from Tsentom's "Influential" trait.

- 1 new civilization:
* Nubian Empire - from Crossroads of the World, in adapted form
Leader: Piye (Exp/Cre)
Unique Unit: Medjay
Unique Building: Kushite Pyramid

- 2 new resources:
* Bison (from CivII)
* Rubber (from CivIII)

- 2 new units:
* Guildmaster, from Crossroads of the World (BtS) *acts as a lesser version of the Great Merchant
* Siege Tower, hidden unit in Warlords

- 1 new national wonder:
* Olympic Park, from Rhye's and Fall of Civilization (BtS)

- 7 new technologies:
* Bowyers, from FfH: Age of Ice (BtS)
* Counterweight Engineering, from Genghis Khan (Warlords)
* Courtly Manners, from Charlemagne's Wars (BtS)
* Desert Subsistence, from Genghis Khan (Warlords)
* Elephant Domestication, from Genghis Khan (Warlords)
* Tracking, from FfH: Age of Ice (BtS)
* Water Works, from Chinese Unification (Warlords)

Note: even though the Bison and Rubber were originally planned for a later add-on, I decided to already include them in the 'vanilla' Extra version for practical reasons.

--------------------------------------

Keep in mind that there will be no more new content added to the Extra core version. All new content will be provided through optional add-ons that are only compatible with the Extra mod. However, this does not mean that the core version of the mod will not be updated anymore. Bugs and balance fixes will still be made, and of course the mod will also be updated when (if) Firaxis releases a new patch for BtS.

Chiyu,

Well done...Any chance for a Filefront upload of this?

They're both missing in post #1 (which gows straight to patchi - and that link also doesn't work for me).

What about a fourth fresh map of earth with fresh antic list of civs ?

You can duplicate the map where are scythians and nubians and exiting Portugal, England, Japan and Russia and replacing them with Phoenicia, Ethiopia and Zululand...
The last replacement should be the Celtia...

Each civ could start with two-three cities, and a few barbarians cities in ancient world for impeach early contact... Why not early raiders for barbarians ?

- Celtia could have three cities : Lutecia, Toletum, and Londinium.
- Lugdunum, Burdigala and Portus Itius or Hibernia and Picts or one-two cities in antic spain should be barbarian...

Here the interest for having no possibilities to destroying cities....

I updated the first post with a complete list of all features :). Should be a lot more convenient now.

- What about an hidden nationality unit for Classic Era period ?

- Barbarian could start with specific Stronger Barbarians Units

- But "Mercenary" should be useable with regular civs...

I propose that hidden nationality units could be produced as many as we want but two restrictions : can not capture cities and minus 20% strenght that regular unit...

What about hidden nationality units fort all the epochs ?

We could have ground and sea mercenaries...

After all, Carthage was a mercenary empire...

It's possible, but I'm currently not planning a scenario of sorts. (Also, I don't know when Chiyu is planning another update - which, BTW, you're suggesting below.)

I originally wrote this in the RevDCM thread also, I just thought I'd get a quicker response if I put it in this too.

I don't know a whole lot (more like I know nothing) about merging. I just DLed "Extra" and I figured I could live without RevDCM. But I can't stay content on a mere 18 civs and without cities breaking off during a devastating war or awesome smoke plooms billowing over a blood soaked prairie.
So I was wondering if anyone has done it or if it is possible for a guide on how to combine these two mods (not really a guide, but you know). I don't know about cores or python, but hopefully it is just easy to explain.
Thank you

Once again, nice job JEELEN :). I'll add a link to your maps/scenarios in the first post.

---

I was wondering if anyone else has trouble starting a game as Baibars (of the Mamluks)? I keep getting problems with the interface when playing as him, and I don't know why :/.

- One leadearhead has serious graphic glitches, i agree with you...

When i see this leaderhead in diplomacy, graphics moves have serious glitches...

- I propose yu add a 40civs.dll
Like that i could create a modern day scenario with full of details on classic Huge Earth Map...

Can you include an Huge Earth with no preplaced civs and adapted for extra ?

JEELEN can make it i presume because this map could help me create scenarios because making maps and equilibrating ressources is not my cup of tea...
All i want is preplacing cities and renaming civs and cities (eventually calibrating tiles and techs for the choosen epoch), thats all ;)...

JEELEN, your two Earthmaps, can you make that permit the choice of civs and their number ? I would be happy, after i could consulting a map of an given epoch i would adapting, my idea is "110 AD" and "A Fictive 40 Civs Earth Map" based on one of the two map...

Yes, i'm obsessed by 110 AD because it's the apogee of Rome ;)
