And as for the Swedish/Danish/Finnish empires... Personally, I think their presence is welcome, for the same reason as I make a distinction between the Romans and the Italians (or the Byzantines, who perceived themselves as Romans anyway).

Years back, I stumbled upon 'alternative' buttons and font files for other corporations (check your Civ4 installation folder\Beyond the Sword\Assets\Art\Interface\Buttons\Corporations for the buttons and your Civ 4 installation folder\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Charlemagne\Assets\Res\Fonts for the font files). So technically, these are from the Charlemagne's Wars mod :P. But because the text strings, the units and the buildings that went with them were not complete, I left them aside for a few years.

A few weeks ago I picked up this abandoned project and finished these corporations to make them fully compatible with Civilization 4 :). In any case, I think they fit the game better than their current counterparts. Because the religions are real as well, it would be more fitting to have 'real' corporations as well instead of our current fictional ones (although I would have chosen different corporations myself).

Because this update replaces things rather than adding them, I decided to keep the other version online as well. So now there's one version with the "extra" corporations and one without.

Hello,

I just installed this mod and when I play, there is no minimap, no way to move units (except right clicking), and no menu at the top with the date and time etc. Could anybody help or is this just an error and I have to redownload the mod? Any help would be appreciated.

What civilization were you playing as? That might have something to do with it.
 
Just tried this yesterday after giving Civ a break for a few months. All the content fits perfectly into the main game and I haven't run into a single hiccup yet. One thing I noticed is civs that tended to do poorly in BtS do very well in this mod. Mansa Musa and Pacal II actually managed to become serious threats when they're usually complete pushovers (in my experience, anyway).

this mod, is awesome, love the work, havent had the mod long, yet ive played through a few times, and the new tech and units, along with everything, and ive notice a few small things, lol the happiness thing, and the particle accelerator button and art define, but those are thing that dont effect the game play, and the game play is awesome
 
HI im love this mod an this is my second game playing. I get to this specific turn and the game quits with an error saying it had to close. dont know why and dont know how to find out. Ive got this info:

[14962.296] ERR: InitWinApp() failed, exiting
[14962.296] ERR: CIV Init FAILED, exiting

Anything else i can prvide to help find out why?

Hello, I am running Civilization BTS 3.19 on MacOs 10.5.8 but I can't play with this mod, there are lot of xml error like :

Is there a solution to play this mod on mac ?
It seems we just have to change the path of xml files, no ?

The mod still won't work for me. On the upper right side the mod name extra appears, but none of the features such as new civs appear when I want to play. I don't understand why :(

First of all i'd like to thank u for your work. Its Great!

I was used to play the BTS-Gold Mod until I found yours.:king:

But one thing I cant understand: Where is the balancing gone. I played it several Times Same strategy as BTS and Gold and I have to reduce teh difiiculty level by 2 under prince.
In my opinion is that the Cultural/Science "non-maximum-expanding" way of playing Civ-Extra is under-rated. A friend of mine played its in his typical Military way (like I played Civ from I to III... ohh memories) and he did It well.

Maybe I'm a little crazy about these things.
Are there changments made on Culture / City grown / Military->AI

Is there any way to disable all the additional civilizations and such? I'm using a mod that replaces all the traditional civilizations, so it'd be kind of odd with the additional leaders/civs being added.

You'd have to manually remove 'em from the code. Though it would be neat to see a more modular Extra where you could easily remove unwanted things. I originally quit playing the mod over that, too many new things piled together.
 
So I started playing this again the other day.

I still really like the mod, but I've come across an issue that I can't quite figure out. Just WHY do all the leaders seem to be hyper-aggressive warmongers against the human player(s)? I had a +20 something relationship with whatshisface (the Romanian guy) and he declares war on me constantly no matter what I do. The others do it as well, but especially the Romanians and Isabella. I'd expect nothing less from Monty or Catherine though.

Now, that wouldn't be so bad...except that there are other nations that he cannot stand and aren't nearly as well defended, yet he NEVER attacks anyone else.

As a test, I set all the relationships toward my country to +90, and it did nothing. They still declare endless war no matter what I do to or for them. Did Bush or Obama happen to tinker with the AI by any chance?

Sounds like the AI for Civ3. No matter if your relations are good or not, if they think your weak or vulnerable they will attack you.
 
Just loaded the mod and I am able to load the map and the game plays fine. I just cant see any of the menus, like the one on the bottom during the game where you can build city, pillage... etc, for the units. I can get by with hotkeys and such but was just wondering how I could fix this (basically its all black other then the graphics, if that makes sense)
