[BtS] "Extra"

I love the mod and the work you do, Chiyu. I think we are concerned the mod is going from being more of a Historical based mod to a fantasy based mod. Controlling animals doesn't sound like a lot of fun at all...But it is your mod, so make it as you see fit.
 
Oh, the animal thing was just an idea that came to mind, if it's not received with enthusiasm, I won't add it :).

And as for the amount of stuff... Like I said, after the next update, there won't be any more updates for a while, since the mod feels 'complete' to me. Balancing the civics is my main priority at the moment. I'm having a hard time with the religious civics specifically (Rites of Remembrance and Animism just won't do in their current state), so if I don't figure out a good solution, I'll just remove these (or more) civics altogether. Woerkilt, I like your suggestions on the non-religion civics :).

As for the arcology bug... It should have been fixed a few versions ago (the stable & the capital shipyard were the causes), so maybe it will work again if you reinstall the mod completely.
 
I for one like the way the mod is. I like the FInal Frontier additions(just not the tech quotes lol) just some of the new civics from final frontier strategy entries need to be changed, some read, gives a bonus to star systems or something along those lines.

Also I have a request Chiyu, could you do a spin-off mod of this in the future, just adding in Avain's Modern VD expansion pack? It doesn't add any new civics or anything just some new techs and new units(including flavor units) for the modern era, its alot of fun.
 
I like civics that serve a purpose. I feel that many of the new civics in this mod are there simply becasue they exist in some Firaxis mod -- where, by the way, they do serve a purpose. All of them together in the epic game clutter things up I think.

a small suggestion,

i think you should use hebrews instead of judean :)
also, in the past , israel/hebrews was never an empre that controlled more the some parts of israel.

we were also called in ancient time, "people of israel", thats also nice :).
 
I downloaded it a few minutes ago and I experienced no problems. In fact, the download went quite fast.

I really enjoy your mod, Chiyu. I don't normally post anything here, but I always download the new additions to your mod. I think what makes your mod stand out is that you pay a lot of attention to detail (pedia strings, buttons, unit speech etc.) Although they may not be very important to gameplay or visual experience, but it does give the feeling that your mof is a natural part of the game. So, thanks. :D

One thing that I miss in your mod, is new promotions (like Shock 2 and 3 and City Attack 4).

By the way, the leaderhead of Wilhelmina should have had Victoria as a base I think. After all, queen Wilhelmina was a fat and haughty woman like Victoria.

Thanks SinkingDutchman :). I really appreciate what you said about the details. Doing everything as complete as possible is indeed one of my main goals. ^^
As for new promotions... Well, since I'm stuck to the content that Firaxis has given us, I can't really do anything about that :/. Save for Desert Adaptation, of course.

In her old age maybe, but she became queen quite young - under age even. Wilhelmina rules! (O no, it's Beatrix now...):p
 
My idea of current perfection would be to combine Extra 3.13i with
Glider1's latest RevolutionDCM which includes
Dales Combat Mod DCM 1.5 into Revolutions 1.4 for BTS.
Anyone have any luck? I've been using winmerge, have a little programming experience but can't get a working copy, yet, and would love a working copy.
I have a new 32bit vista system with 4gig ram and am I fighting my way around the MAF as well, after research, nothing seems to work. Looks like it may be the Varietas Delectat graphic pack in Modern Age that slows me down. Before that no MAF problems. Is this possible?

I am going through a game with 3.13i and enjoying every minute of it. Being one of the first mods ever made for BTS, Extra continues to be one of the best and most enjoyable as well. Thanks a lot for your hard work and for sharing this with us :goodjob:
 
It seems that switching to Free Religion civic does not remove your state religion, can anyone confirm this?
Also, the Electricity tech does remove the fresh water requirement for building farms, but does not provide the food bonus.

When that is said, I love the way this mod is going, but I think some of the "old" civics need a bit of boosting since they don't seem as shiny as the new ones. ;)
