i just want to say i am gratefull it takes alot of time to do this and i wouldnt do it so dont take my posts to hard

just there r places cities should be and theres nothing and u cant put new ones there...

like what is denmark now has no cities i mean its a good idea but maybe more cities and start in 1850 would make this mod rock imo or at least have that option kind of like global assault in rtw this mod with that concept of earth with cities and what not


also curious as to how u picked the relations between civs like y are some nations plus 100 and some minus 100
 
@kronix its hard for me to explain everything for you in english because iam german, so ill try it one more time. otherwise if you dont like the mod with all of its components then i have only one advice for you: delete it and play another one. there are so many and good mods out there, you have the choice.

as the relations are concerned: once again, they are for my future planned COLD WAR scenario....so no 1850 map, this one is history....russia loves china for exaple so they get +100 and so on....

more cities? i dont want more cities because its a huge map and the late game becomes so f.u.c.k.i.n.g slow...and believe me the AI settles everywhere where is an empty slot.... --> so no settlers, no more cities...if you dont like that play another mod! (perhaps legends of revolution would be a good choice)

Hmm...sounds interesting but at this time i dont know how to do that only via XML. Iam not a python or sdk coder so i dont think that i can realize that. Sorry.

My first Post on this amazing forum!
You mod is impressive thanks.

I'm looking for an accurate lategame scenario based on your mod. I tried to do it by editing your map in the the WorldBuilder. i added two civs: Spain and Scandinavia. and tried to make the world looking like 1900's.

PBM: Bugged, it crashes all the time at the 3rd turn. I'm not an expert and i would like to get some help.
Maybe someone would be interested to "finish the work" (i'm sure it's not as simple).

I tried to add all the Tech and balance resources for all "modern" countries.
Germany
France
England
USA
Russia
Italia
Spain
scandinavia
Japan

All other civs has got "all Renaissance" techs


Maybe the problem is due to the 2 civs addition (22 civs for a 20 civs map), or maybe it's the timeline or Tech issues....i really do'nt Know.

I'm looking for a solution in this forum in the Modding section.

Thank you very much.
I looked at your map and realized some issues that can cause crashes:

1.) The Viking civ isn't in my mod anymore. Did you add it again?
2.) dont change the pre given civics, because it's another system now.
3.) you added some victory conditions that aren't supported in this mod.
4.) adding new civs without giving them unique units seems to be a little unbalanced...in my opinion 20 civs are more than enough.

1. I didn't add it :p so i will try to change the Vikings and replace them by a minor civ (it should work like this shouldn't it?)--> by replacing it by barbarian it wouldn't be accurate 'cause at war with everyone...
2. i will try to reset that and let it as it was in your map.
3. i will delete that;
4. i agree with you for the UU part (Viking replaced by minor not playable civ it should be alright).
But the spanish civ would be interesting and more accurate (iwould like to add more civs (minor or playable in order to simulate a more complexe europe).

What i tried to do in this map is to represent the world in early XX century with divided europe, colonized Africa (colonies or vassal states) and other In developping Countries (Brazil, India, etc...).

So the player is able to lead a a mature state (USA, England, germany...) or try to emancipate other civs (India, West Africa,..) or develop them (China, south american nations...)
I also tried to anticipate the futur conflicts (WW, Falklands war, etc...).

I don't know if i will succeed, but i'll try to update the map and make it work.
If you're interested i will update this post with the map.

These Civs are still available: dutch, greek, korea, mongols, ottomans, portugal, ireland (or celts) and spain. perhaps you can use one of these civs? say what civ you need perhaps i can replace it or can create a new one. i dont think that minor civs are a good solution.

are you going to add more cities? if that is the case it will definitly slowing the game and will create MAFS in the endgame.

hey nudden i understand theres many more mods but ive beaten global assault and the revolutions one as germans and wanted to test ur mod out just seems so long and boring at the start also the names u chose for the cities maybe if they had actual city names instead of names of countries like i know spain isnt the name of a city neither is sweden...

as a german u believe u did them justice in giving them those 4 cities??
just seems like theres alot of important cities missing like the kiel straight and danzig for water units at least and many others that u could of chosen to make it a more authentic german civ.

ill give it a go one more time and try to get to late game and see what happens but i remember playing and just takes for ever pretty much just clicking enter all the time...


i mean i declared war on france i had like 20 units all 20 units got blown away at the city they tried to take so im guessing u cant start war untill a certain time....

A worked a little bit on the map last week.

It's still bugged:/ I tried to had Technologies progressively.
Without the techs it seems to work well.

The map started in 1901, the diplomacy is working (Vassal states for France and England), the added countries are working too.

I only added the Spanish and the Netherland (replace the Vikings civs but it's called "Norvegia and Sweden"), Why?
Because i think that Europe is composed by Only 4 civs (Germans, French, Italy and UK). It would be more interesting in a Late era, to have a more complex Europe. Spain is an important country with late Techs (S80 submarine=same skin as Scorpene class, F100 Fregate) and a big Population (40 Millions) and the sweden with Norvegians have good Units in the late era (Planes like in Max Riga mod: Focker, Grippen and fregates like "Visby" etc.) so interesting during a WWII or later conflict.
Perhaps an other South american civ (like Columbia+ Venezuela or Peru) or Corea can be added...

I understand the settler and not-too-much-cities choice in this mod but...
....I added some cities in Europa like:
Copenhagen, Bordeaux (or Lyon i'"m still hesitating), Austria (may be replaced by Vienna), Madrid and La Corogne, Tanzania in africa (A German Colony), Yougoslavia (south of your Yougoslavia Location), Cayenne (French colony) and Napoli.
So Only 7 additional Cities, in order simulate a more complex Europe.

Other changes:

What i need from you (or another person) is to help me make the Scenario works (not this crappy CTD after 3 turns!). I don't know how to Mod.. i just try to play it and add some stuffs with
the world Buider....
But i can help you by testing it.

*EDIT:* i took a quick look with the editor and saw one thing: Era=ERA_ANCIENT --> change it to a modern starting era you want. for renaissance: ERA_RENAISSANCE // for industrial: ERA_INDUSTRIAL // for modern: ERA_MODERN

YEA IM AT 1445 but dude whats with the barbs having musketman and citites of 12 with no resources or nothing if i did not have great wall i would be doomed!! its 1440 and russia is about to fall to france because of all the leningrad troops its insane leningrad has crazy defense perks! and now musketman non stop since 1400!!!
leningrad is barbarian !! but more advanced then me and im 80 points ahead of all other civs
lapland had 2 long bowman in it i sent 10 horsemen 7 catapult then 7 longbowmen appeared and all my guys died!! i get it its a slow playing mod u should call it EPIC mod not late game mod lol or maybe it got lost in translation i like it just the title needs work :)

:) nice...i noticed that myself that the barbs are tooooooooooo strong...this will definitly be solved in the next version. EPIC mod (:lol:) -- i like the choice. but one question: 2 longbowman against an army of 10 hm, 7 catas and 7 lm....huuh....i dont believe that. i won with that army against these 2 defenders....perhaps these longbowmen were highly promoted terminators....:scan:

hi all!

i updated the map because i had some issues on the previous with the last version of your mod (1.08). What ever civs i have chosen, i had a message : "you've been defeated" .
So i tried to update your last map and it's currently working without CTD at now!!

I placed some Wonders at their historic location (Greece have a lot of ancient Wonders), i tried to add techs and cities like in the previous version.

There's some improvement tracks:
- Little Techs tweak (more for german, and england, less for spain or Sweden and Italia etc...).
- Add some improvement and Building to the developed countries like america, Japan, germany, France and england .
-->It's beacause after 20 Years, Canada, Argentina or Brazil are too developed (England and other developed countries provided them too much techs...as a matter of fact, they became too much strong facing countrie like england, France or Germany or USA...).
- I would like to prevent the developed countries to give too much techs to their vassal states...i don't know how to do it....
- Maybe some diplomacy adjustement in order to launch the world wars earlier (French should hate germany and england, and so on..)

Other thing:
i have a bug with the civics: all nation with your last map have the latest civics and there's no way to change to an older civic, they do not appear in the civicc window. only a tiltle with:
"require: Fake" (in red)

Don't hesitate to give your feedbacks or to modify directly the map in the World builder and send it to me.
