Wow, that's quite a patch! I have but one question: shouldn't sharpsooting be about picking a specific target rather than 'bombarding' x miles?
*downloads it* I'm very curious. Btw the sound addon packs. Is it normal that one folder under assets is now sound and the other sounds?
No, no, that's unusual!
Both folder should be 'Sounds'! Could you tell me which part of the music pack has a bad folder name? I may have to reupload it...
Odd the folders in the zip's are correctly named. What i did notice was a frequent error message while browing the second zip. Though the files inside seem intact.
Damn, this looks . .. .. .. .ing amazing! I am going to have to play this soon, too bad I'm a modder, I only ever have time to play(test) the mod I'm working on.
I'll have to set some time aside for this, looks great.
martin could u please kindly tell us what new things are there in this great mod in the next update coming in the 2 weeks or so.
after i progress to the warring state after the mass chaos era, the custom music no longer plays and the vanilla medieval music plays.
Hello,
I was finaly able to test the mod for a few games and it's really awesome.
here are the - :
- The game is quite slow on huge maps, my poor old CPU suffers more and more as the games last long.
- Some units makes the game crash, sometimes, not all the time and only a some advanced stage of the game, that's a pity I wasn't able to finish any games yet.
- There are a LOT of buildings, maybe a bit too much? We could imagine more wonder providing buildings in every cities, couldn't we?Could you give me a suggestion as to which wonder could give which free building?
and the + :
- Your maps are fantastics, it was a very good idea to "create" those rivers, I kinda like it. The mountains also offers a very strategic design to the scenario's maps. They're just great
- The hero system, even if I did not understood their xp gain (and even if the hero menu was hard to find at the beginning). They provides very cool unexpected aspects to battles. Great challenge sometimes. My only regret is that I did not understood the heroe skills availability: it depends on the heroe or on the previous skills learned?
- Units design is very cool, the balance is very interesting as only pikemen seems too weak to me. All the other units are cool and useful.
- Promotions are great.
- Techs and buildings are fine, immersives. Great job.
- The emperor system is original. I think it should provide the emperor's owner more benefits (maybe I don't realize all the benefits provided by the emperor but it looked quite poor to me) so that players would really fight for it (unique buildings? guards ? better loyalty ? etc. ?)
- Barbarians system (leaders and all) is interesting. It's a small shame we cannot script mongol invasions at this period ^^
About the heroes: they gain experience after one of their legion unit gains experience. In civilopedia there's a hero section, which lists all available promotions a specific hero could gain. May be we should include a manual with screenshots next time.
Barbarians right now are just a little spice, given some more time, there will be more for them, although not mongol invasions, but up north there will be more than one nomad tribes.
Again, thanks for this very detailed and encouraging feedback!
