Bug reports and technical difficulties

I can't find the post but someone asked about not being able to use a Great Saint to spread a religion. did you have a state religion? if you don't then that feature doesn't work.

I did have a State Religion - playing as Au Lac so I researched SR for the UHV goal. Ended up winning anyway just by building temples etc in the conquered Han territories, so it wasn't a big problem.

-Capturing multiple workers in same tile only gives one slave.
-Pontus second UHV seems to check when the three Roman cities are captured, it doesn't check for Greece nor the 7 provinces.

Confirmed.

Also, the Nan Yue founding event keeps happening even when the Nan Yue exist and hold both their usual cities, constantly giving them stacks but putting their cities into revolt.

it works for me.

Yes, it checks, but for me it checked right after I had conquered three Roman cities (in the Levant), however, I didn't control Greece at that moment, also I don't think that I had 7 provinces by then either.

the goal is to take 3 Roman cities OR control 7 provinces including Greece. the second part is there in case the Romans are a no-show.

In the current SVN (merjin's upload) Swordsmen appear to have been replaced with Feodorati for all civs. The Byznatines have the cheaper Feodorati with the discipline promotion, but all other civs can still build a unit called Feodorati when they research Scale Armour.

Possibly something went wrong when you changed the Byzantine UU?

yes those damn Foederati are everywhere. fix coming at midnight.

I've also changed the slaves from-combat-mechanic so that if the enslaved unit is the last unit of its team on the tile and therefore your unit advances to the tile the slave spawns on that tile not the tile you were attacking from

That change has made the slave situation worse imo. When you are attacked by barbs, you will often find that one barb will attack you and lose, leaving a slave on the tile the barb attacked from. The next barb comes along and kills that slave, so you lose a slave without any chance to save it.

Also, if you attack a city, but only move one unit at a time from a stack that's located one tile away, then any losing units that are enslaved will also sit outside the walls. So you may have to capture them before moving more units against the city, meaning the unit that captures the slaves can't attack. That can hold up your attack, if you are trying to split units to attack two different cities for example.

yes I'm realising there's quite a few distinct situations that need to be accounted for. the fact that the python method "onCoambatResult" only recognizes only winner and loser, and not attacker and defender. edead showed me how to have that info included ages ago, but I never worked on it. I guess now is the time.

Han UHVs are checking in the wrong order. When I discovered Paper, the 3rd UHV (double the pop of your nearest rival) went to Yes whilst the 2nd (discover Paper) is still showing Not yet.

I downloaded the modmod today but whenever I load the mod nothing happens. I had this same problem with RFC DOC, where the game couldn't read the mod because the folder was named incorrectly so I was also wondering if 'RFC Classical World' is the correct folder name or if this is caused by missing files?

Is the "Assets" folder (among others) directly inside your RFC Classical Folder or embedded within another one? That might be your problem.

And yes, "RFC Classical World" is the correct name.

I think I have fixed the issue of slaves spawning on the right plot in all or nearly all cases. thanks to edead for guidance. I will update the svn tonight.

fixed the Han UHV error

some cosmetic changes:

the Parthian UU will now be known as a Shivatir. thanks to the Europa Barborum team for research

the Kingdom of Funan will be known as the Kingdom of Kamboja. although its origin as a name is equally foreign to the actual region, it is the name they decided to keep for themselves.

I think Funan should keep its name as it is (as Funan). The convention is to use the most commonly used name for polities like this; Funan is generally known to be in ancient Cambodia, while Kamboja (Cambodia?) seems to be from Sanskrit and is generally understood to mean the nation during medieval to modern times.
