Bug reports and technical issues

I hope you have anything you need. :D
In fact the previous windows with the affected lines would be the most helpful part.

It's annoying when these error messages come one line at a time, maybe I should put some effort into figuring out if and how I can fix that. In such a case, it's good to also have enabled logging because all Python errors are also logged in PythonErr.log.

The bug doesn't regenarate? I didn't take pictures of all these messages, I quite taking picures after the first 8 messages. As far as I remember the problem was something related to stability, to secession and to a technology required for something. I uploaded the save from the previous turn, if the bug doesn't regenarate, then I can reload the game to my computer and write down all these lines.

Thanks for the further messages. I haven't had the time to check the save, but it's often possible to figure out the problem without reproducing it which is where the responsible line comes into play.

It seems like founding a city on a resource before you have the corresponding technology (e.g. stone, Masonry) will not yield full production and commerce, even if you discover the technology afterwards.

Yeah. I'm not sure why because discovering a tech should trigger a recalculation of all tile yields. I'll investigate.

Going back to this post, do you remember the Spanish stability level when the autosave was made? The bug happens during someone's territorial collapse, and I'm fairly sure it's the Spanish, but when I load the attached save everyone is on shaky and no collapse happens, which is why I can't reproduce the bug.

This has led me to suspect that something is wrong with the storage of Python data. I'm not sure how, but it would help a lot if you could update your SVN and see if the "Saving stored data." message appears whenever the game autosaves.

It was shaky. The save isn't an autosave, it's an ordinary save. I'll update.

Okay. It was just very suspicious because in cheat mode everyone was shaky.

I tried attaching the file, but it doesn't show up in my folder when I go to attach it.

Push the clip. Then push the research button, find the save, then push the upload button and wait until the procedure is over. Then you will see the attachments in the secondary window. Push close this window and your attachments will be some lines down of the edit message box.

Problem solved at version 584. There was one message on loading "Loading stored data", but I supose it isn't a bug message.

I noticed a tiny bug. I read in the news that France and Portugal were willing to sign peace treaty, but they refused to talk. Portugal was a vassal, so signing a peace treaty was impossible at that point.
However, excelent work, the BUG mode is major contribution. Thanx for the advice.

I think willing to sign a peace treaty just means that they would say yes if you could actually ask them.

I just started a colombian game and had to realize that i can't demand gold per turn from other civs - it doesn't show up in the left box after clicking ok in the "how many gold do you want?"-window. But when asking "What will you give me for this?" they offer gold per turn themselves. This is kind of annoying if going for UHV...

Oh poor argentines...

P.S: Does the stability reset every time I reload a game?

I don't know to fix this, but saving/loading should take care of the problem.

No! This is why I asked about the stability in your previous game.

Well, it seems that it resets. In my game Spain gone unstable many times and when I reloaded it was still shaky. Spain lost Peru, Colombia, Argentina, I even conquered Montevideo and in one time I left only one Spanish unit alive in south America. Spain should have faced a territorial crisis by now, but I haven't got any message about any crisis in the world since I started playing as Argentina, although I saw some crisis messages during autoplay.

Okay. Please keep an eye on the ingame event messages. Every time the game autosaves it should say "saving stored data." there.

(I think this problem is the explanation for all recent bugs.)

No autosave available...
I supose the code tried to find the master of a non vassal civ. It may be portugal, it was a vassal of Spain and then it broke away.
