Bug Reports and Technical Issues

No. Maybe you just can't afford to spare the city?

Yes now I see. I had 350 gold and pillaged 136, so had 486 but to spare I had to pay 490. :crazyeye: maybe include distribute option with the money required to raise but keep it grayed out? This will tell player just how short is he from sparing a city and maybe he can reload, sell some maps and do better?

I'd prefer that as well but the type of option popup available in this situation (with the solid buttons) doesn't allow that.

From before the latest Git update that broke savegame compatibility.

Congresses just aren't happening. I once got a popup about a post-war one, but it never happened. I've added a couple turns to the congress timer, and nothing happened. I built that congress wonder. Nothing happened.
Do you mean this? I couldn't open the save from that state. Can you look up exactly what your commit is?

While playing a tibetan game, I managed to complete the two first Historical Objectives, but in 1222, I can't advance to the next turn, and I don't know why ^^'
Which version of the game are you on?

Oh, that's a bit older, but alright.

This is something that I still remember from 1.15, but it's still the case in a recent development version: When razing a barbarian city (5 population, was French before a collapse2core), I get the normal penalty for razing cities: -10 stability. Same with a 4 pop city, same background: -8 stability.

The civpedia entry on Stability Factors says that razing barbarian cities gives no penalty and razing minor civ cities gives half penalty.

I don't really mind the full penalty, especially since I'm playing masochistically on Emperor - but can you ensure that the civpedia entry and the game effects are matching?

From looking at the code, that should still be the case. Maybe some of the recent changes to the city conquest rules messed something up. Do you have a save where you're about the conquer a barbarian city for quick reference?

Sure, here it is.
Spoiler Playing Britain. :

Intention is to switch to Canada, but to balance the game a tiny bit so that the other nations don't exterminate me with killer satellites on spawn.

I was tolerating the French colonies in Canada, but two very inconvenient spots had to go because they wouldn't flip. Fort Pentegouet is ready for takedown.

EDIT: I have a copy of the development branch from after your git update log post #465, but before #466.

1700 AD map -- both Uzbek cities are starving at the start. One farm for Khiva and one Pasture for Bukhara is possible?

Spoiler Not enough resources :

So provincial Sapporo does not get Silver and Gold happiness as intended because it is used by 3 "better" cities, but Forge still provides city with extra happiness as if Sapporo has access to that Silver and Gold.

I was playing as the Maya, latest Github version. After I upgraded a ship to a Caravel, on the next turn I had somehow established contact with Spain, despite that they had no ships anywhere near the Americas (I checked in worldbuilder) nor did I even have the moment to move my new Caravel. Got plague but no conqueror event. This was coupled with several error messages about first contact. On the turn after that the third HV goal was fulfilled.

Spoiler Cheap Sugar :

Every other resource works as intended. He is asking 32 gpt for Coal, 16 for Fish or Crab. Elsewhere luxuries are traded for around 16, except for Wine (32). But wait things get more bizarre. Try to ask Turks what do they want for Copper -- they will give it for free and on top of that will add precious Wine and extra 4 gpt :crazyeye:

Spoiler Unwanted Copper :

Very strange, do you have a save for me before you upgrade the Caravel?

I'll add this to the AI issues pile.

No save, but it seems like the no congresses issue is caused by those post-war congresses. I had one regular congress in a game as Japan. A while later, there was a popup for a post-war congress. Nothing happened after that.

Thanks, that helps.

There was something really weird going on in this game, basically there was a Mongol ghost unit near the Russian border that shouldn't exist anymore and the game crashed when it tried to interact with something. I have no clue what caused this and kind of hope it was a fluke, but I'll keep my eyes out in the future. For the moment, I got rid of the unit and advanced your save to the next turn, so you should be able to continue from here.
