Oh, I've seen that during autoplay too, that save will be very helpful. Thanks.

I don't know what you are talking about. It seems there are issues with permissions in your operating system and some files fail to be created. I don't think I can do anything to help you resolve these kinds of issues, much less based on this vague kind of information.
That's tough, probably missing some crucial game files in that case
I even reinstalled the game and same stuff pops up. Last case scenario is I can try to check for system files, which I'm not sure if there is a program 4 that

Maybe your registry is still pointing to the broken installation? Maybe you need to remove it from there manually. Maybe the downloaded archive is also corrupted in some way, a redownload may help, or using git instead.

I reckon that's the case - it wants me to install it in a broken/deleted/corrupted folder or registry, and it doesn't like when I install it somewhere else
Archive's probably not the case - it only happened after I did something with game files
Not sure how I will change it manually though

You can manually delete registry entries.

Not sure if this is a bug but I had Defensive Pact with British. Arabia attacked British, leading to me declaring war on them. That caused me to also declare war on Arabia's vassals, which in turn canceled my defensive pacts. I also got hit by -6 diplomatic penalty from British because I declared war on their friend.

I've attached last save I had before war and one on my turn following start of the war.

Another thing is that China's 3rd UHV condition's text display's number of Golden Age turns required while talking about Golden Ages. Goal completes normally.

After arabia collapses, every city that belonged to the byzantines (and are not controlled by other civilization) return to them. This happens in every game in the 600 a.C. scenario.
Screenshot_14.png

Arabia doesn't flip byzantine cities in cyrenaica and doesn't have any interests in conquest that region, even if it's classified as "Arabian Expansion"
Screenshot_29.png

Venice arab name should be Al-Bunduqiyya. Kyiv under byzantine control should be Kioava or Kiova. Jerusalem should be Urusalim under phoenician control. Lavapuri/Lahore should be Luhawar/Luhar/Rahwar or Al-Ahwar under arabian control.

The tamils begin with the name "Kingdom of Vijayanagara" instead of Kingdom of Mysore in the 1700 a.C. scenario. Also, the tamils take too long to change the name from Vijayanagara to Mysore in the other scenarios. Also, their research is too slow, not been able to have competition between the other civilizations in the indian subcontinent.

Qiqihar and Lasa begin without guards in the 1700 a.C. scenario. Is that intended?

Playing with arabs, France begins african colonization too early.

I don't have a save (sorry) but I noticed when playing Egypt that some URV displays are broken:

- The Orthodox goal of owning the most cultured cities gets the ownership of cities wrong. There was a green check next to a city I didn't own, for instance. And the "Our next most cultured city" sometimes showed a city I didn't own.
- The "Never let more than half of your cities have a religion" pagan goal will get a green check even if you have previously failed it, if you build more cities to go back to half. (Honestly I think that's fine, it gives more agency to the player, but then the wording would need to be changed.)
- I think the Egyptian pagan goal of being the first to have certain Great People doesn't trigger (or at least doesn't get a green check), although that could be because I wasn't actually the first to get a Great Engineer. Seems unlikely though.

(This was my first time playing in a long time! I think I was up to date on the main branch.)

It depends on the wording of the description, but I think the first two are working as intended. Pretty sure that the Orthodox goal states something like "make sure the five most cultured cities are Orthodox", defined as having Orthodoxy present and being controlled by a civ with Orthodox state religion. Many religious goals can be collaborative between civs with shared religion. Likewise, URV goals are not "failable" (or "winnable"), their condition needs to be continually met.

I will check the Egyptian goal but unit tests are covering it, so pretty sure it mostly works.

Ah, you're correct for the Orthodox goal: in Civilopedia, it says "Make sure the five most cultured cities are Orthodox." However, the Victory screen says "Control the five most cultured cities in the world." So my confusion was warranted, and I suggest changing the latter wording.

The pagan goal's problem is the word "Never" which should be replaced by "Do not" if it's not meant to be permanently failable.

Fair points, I will adjust the phrasing.

Game says Edicts should reduce expansion stability penalty, but they don't seem to have such effect. There is also no mention of them in stability code.

Another thing. I was going through civilization wonder preferences in Civilizations.py . I noticed Colombia doesn't get Increased preference for Salt Cathedral which is odd, because according to civilopedia wonder does refer to Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá.

Both are issues in the documentation. Edicts are not supposed to reduce expansion penalties, and Salt Cathedral refers to the cathedral in Wieliczka Salt Mine. I will correct.

Phoenicia 1st UHV doesn't fail when someone else completes Great Cothon.

Polynesia 1st UHV doesn't complete when having 2 of the required islands. 2nd one works normally.

Portugal occupies Peru with conquerors-adjacent (Chinese conquerors already happened) when the Inca collapses when at war. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature.

In most of the games Venezia and Rome begins with a lot of well experienced defenders that makes very hard to conquer both cities and complete HRE UHV.

Brandenburg under polish control should be Branibór or Kopnik to represent the capital of the Duchy of Kopanica, vassal of the Kingdom of Poland

When some caribbean cities change control of civilizations via congress, the defenders spawned are in a large number that makes really hard conquer these cities.

The Incas should begin with either Traditionalism or Manorialism as Society civic. Because their society was not based on capturing people and considering them property, but something close to a corvee system. All clans are subjects of the inca emperor and in exchange for the security, clothes and food, the people gives their workforce in whatever the empire needs. Crops, construction, army, artisanry and many more.

The AI will cancel trade deals very often, even though it often is willing to accept identical terms if you offer it again. See the attached autosave for an example (on the latest develop version).

Saladin will cancel a trade deal with me, but simply asking to renegotiate and then asking what would make the deal work results in absolutely zero changes to the trade deal. Actually, often the AI cancels a deal only to offer MORE in exchange for my resources. This becomes very annoying once you have multiple trade deals going.

Without a save from before this occurring I cannot do anything.
