Bug Reports and Technical Issues

probably something carried over from vanilla, but it still seems weird:

both pics from the same game, same turn, same time.

one of them can't be right though^^

It's not a bug. The percentage is based on population points, while the other number is the sum of the "real populations" of all cities, which grow exponentially with population points. In other words, many small cities are preferable to few large ones.

I experienced my first bug in the latest version. It was a city overflow bug at Wien for Germany/Holy Roman empire. They found Printing Press by 880 AD and Catapults could be produced every turn but the city size remained at 1 and the demographic screen revealed weird numbers for the rival average.

Did something come up in the event log? Or in sdkDebug.log?

After choosing to play Colombia in 1700 AD, saving, leaving the game, and loading the save -- all 3 goals appear failed. This is very reproducible bug, so, honestly, no particular user's generated save is needed to discover the issue I am talking about... :badcomp:

Can you give me a save from before you saved?
Spoiler :
j/k bug noted

Another issue in the same game (1700 AD): Kingdom of Peru had no techs when I contacted them with my Colombia. I think they resurrected when I was still Argentina.

I did not check the event log. No message came up on the screen. I just found out that the Germans have discovered printing press and founded protestantism. "Protestantism has been founded on a far away land"

Some Indy cities get eternal plague in certain situation. I mean, seriously, they do.

I just played a Thai game and experienced many Python exceptions. For some reason they've stopped somewhere around the 1800s.

There's also a bug that's unchecking the 2nd UHV goal, so it says "Not Yet" when I already did it.

Also, it seems that everyone's teching awfully slowly. I mean, I just discovered Biology in the 1890s...and everyone's behind me! :crazyeye:

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I am not able to train any spy specialists. In the list of specialists in any city the slot for spies is taken up by statesmen. I don't know if this is how its supposed to happen ? I am using the version 1.13 which just came out.

Yes, that is intended. Spy specialists have been removed, you can now create Great Spies by accumulating spy experience.
