Bug Reports and Technical Issues

1.16.6 here, can't post a save as my game is modded (added leaderhead + some wonders).

I played 1700ad France and it seems that whenever I complete a Nuclear Submarine I end up getting this Python Exception pop up shown in the screen shot. It also seems to be impossible to click it away as there's a never ending stream of the same pop up underneath it.

EDIT: I managed to fix this issue. Whenever I tried to select the Nuclear Submarine while playing as France the pop up appeared. After I swapped the French Nuclear Submarine art to German art it started working again so I assume there's something wrong with the Varietas art for French Nuclear Submarine although I couldn't find out what it was exactly.

There is an error that crashes the game in the year 1808 with a 1700AD start. Reloading the game doesn't fix it. Has happened playing with China and Maratha, but am testing it on other civs as well.

Playing as Polynesia, it seems the UP is not working correctly:
My culture spreads 'over' ocean, but not ON ocean tiles
There's nothing wrong here, the culture expansion simply prioritises coast tiles because they are more useful. The ocean tiles should fill up right after.

I seem to be unable to raze a city, when I choose razing after conquest nothing happens.

Are you sure? The way razing works is that the population of the city is reduced over the course of its occupation, until the city is gone.

Oh, I see, thanks for the answer. Why isn't this information in the civilopedia then under the "concepts ? 🤔

In the egyptian pagan URV goal shouldn't be Great General instead of Great Military Instructor? Since the second one is a specialist that can be settled in a city by having a Great General stationed on it. Also is the Great General who is the objective of the goal.

Dobrudscha should be Dobruca under ottoman control.

Under tamil control, Palembang should be Sriwijaya or Srivijaya and Barus should be Varocu. These are historical names of these cities in the tamil language from the time the Cholas have invaded and conquered the Srivijaya Empire.

Fujiwara no Kamatari should be better represented by an Great Statesman than a Great General.

When Japan captures Saigon, the dynamic name continues in the thai form.

Pagan should be Púgān under chinese control

In the Greek URV goal doesn't show the quantity of wonders you have control and the quantity you need to acomplish the goal. Instead, it shows the name of religious shrines in the place.

Ziyad ibn Abih should be better represented by a great statesman instead by a great general.

Setting aside the error itself, I'm wondering if it'd be possible to establish a max size for the python exception screen (with extra text available using a slider) so that the 'X' button is always available. That way a too-large exception wouldn't disable the interface itself.

Relatively small bug:
Sweden is called Sweden in diplo screens, scoreboard etc, whilst the log beneath research bar (I guess that's part of BUG) says it's Norway.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but amber room wonder has its effects backwards on the latest installer version

It’s grants full gold age if defense pact member has a golden age but only half for an actual golden age

EDIT: just got the UHV golden age and that one worked fine. So maybe times just great people golden age. Gonna test it soon to find out
Started a 1700 AD game and established defensive pacts between France and England, and gave England the Amber Room. Playing as France, starting a golden age gets me an eight turn GA and an eight turn GA for England as well. Switching to England, starting a golden age gets me an eight turn GA.

So this seems to work as intended. Please send me a save of your actual situation so that I can investigate the cause.

Playing on the latest version, I'm getting an error after finishing autoplay as Ethiopia.

Your capital should not flip if it is located in your core. If you have a situation where that happens, upload a save.

Got a CTD right after I got my third UHV as Polynesia; it crashed right after showing the 'completed third UHV' pop-up but before showing the 'Polynesia has won a Historical Victory' pop-up. I reloaded and made a save file right before the expected crash. Second time around, it didn't crash, but it did display an error message: 'file not found Sound/Soundtrack/Victory' or something like that.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's an error with the 16.7 installer, specifically with the shortcut that it creates on the desktop. It correctly identifies this as 'Target:'
Target: "D:\Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\RFC Dawn of Civilization

But for the 'Start In' entry it lists:
Start In: "D:\Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword"

The 'Start In' entry should instead read:
Start In: "D:\Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\RFC Dawn of Civilization"

The latest version uses 'Play Now', rather than 'Play Scenario'. That was the point of the massive code rewrite Leoreth did.

Thank you good sir; I'm a little behind on my updates.
